Hey guys..
I know this is a long hair board, but I need some help. I'm 22 years old and work in a hotel making good money. They however, do not allow long hair. I have been growing my hair out since January, and my bangs almost reach my chin. The sides and back have not grown out to the length of the top yet, but getting there.
My question is, do you think I should undercut the sides and back? I think it would give it a more clean cut appearance if I did. However, then my only option for styling at work would be slicked back.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
I think that would be a hot look, with the sides cut and the top slicked back.
Personally, I think an undercut is a singularly ugly style. Plus you go through hell if you ever decide to grow it all out again. My own preference is for a guy to have long hair or not to have it, rather than attempting some sort of mix.
I'd slick it back myself. Only go for an undercut if you have the time/money to maintain it.
Bit of advice for when it gets longer. Ask them if you can wear it up. I've gotten a couple of jobs that way. You can buy styling aids (those hair 'wands' that were all the rage a while back) that make it quite easy.
Just let it grow LONG!!! When in a situation where you want a clean cut appearance, simply TIE IT BACK!!! Tying it back will provide you with options..if you want clean cut, tie it..if you want the wild look, let it loose and let it flow free!
