I think I can honestly say as of now I'am finally satisfied with my hair. The awkward phase took its toll on my patience, (I wanted to completely shave my head a few times!) but I prevailed and it was worth it. I like having the body and my frontal hairs surprisingly stay out of my face. I also have not had ANY trims since I started growing my hair out from completely short in May 2006, I advice anyone in the awkward stage to listen to the senior members and stay away from scissors if you truly want to grow it out. If you cut once you may get the urge to cut it again! Just walking around I see my reflection and I'am noticing the length I can finally see the longhair emerging. :)
Looks nice! Can you tail it yet? I remember how excited I was when I did my first tail. Now it's so routine. LOL
Awwwww Some hair going on there looks great actually I had a friend by that name to Tosh he had long blonde hair down to his collar at one time he looked cool to until he decided other wise Keep it grow Tosh suits you well

Looking good. Patience pays off!
Congratulations!
Some guys will grow out their hair only to discover that they are not happy with it.
That's why I keep saying: "If your hair makes you UNhappy for whatever reasons,
then you need to be honest with yourself. It makes no sense to have
long hair just for the sake of having long hair if it doesn't make you
happy.
Persistence pays off. You are well on your way.

Thats great man! Keep up the positive attitude and keep it growing. The hair is looking great and will only get better with added length.
Welcome to Hairvana! I'm glad you stuck it out though the awkward stage, your hair look great! Many get turned back but your patience has paid off and will continue to reward you.

Boy you have a great head of hair Tosh! Conquering the awkward stage has certainly paid off for you my friend. I'm sitting here admiring the pics and am just amazed at how uniformly it has grown especially since you haven't had a trim in so long. Anyway, you should be very pleased; a wonderful example for us aspiring longhairs to follow:)
Keep it growing,
Matt P.
Hi Tosh,
Your hair is coming along very well indeed, and looks fabulous. It is thick and healthy, and has lots of shine, and things can only get better the longer you grow it.
Keep it growing,
David
Enviable. Well you should be satisfied. Keep on growing. The challenge now is to find ways to keep it neat and out of danger. I find buns, and folded over twists, secured with clasp.
These are traditionally considered feminine, which is OK for some who wish to present as feminine, but for me, I find that my short beard and moustache makes every style I wear masculine. I bought some hairsticks which I find too heavy, and too expensive, but I have some skewers for kebabs, which I have cut to 5" and died blue with temp hair color, which work wonderfully. Just twist your hair, weave one skewere in and out over layers of your twist, and the other at right angles, and it all stays neat. You can color these to match your hair, and cut them to a length in which they are invisible, if you wish.

The rewards of having longhair are worth the suffering and the wait
and ot gets better and better the longer it gets.
