i have recently purchased a straightening iron to straighten my hair every now and then. i have yet to do it though because i dont want to damage my hair. I saw a commercial for this conditioner called thermasilk that somehow makes the heat actually good for your hair instead of damaging it. is this true or is it just a scam to sell shampoos? has anyone ever used the stuff? also, if i use a strightening iron without the thermasilk, how much damage will it do to my hair?
Sounds like you should give a relaxing job a try at a good salon... it won't last forever but it does hold out until your hair is long enough for gravity to keep it down.
My main gripe with the straightening irons was that if you go anywhere that's the slightest bit humid or wet, your hair starts curling like mad. Pretty annoying...
I use thermasilk shampoo, conditioner and now even their hairspray.
Good stuff. Not necessarily any better than several other brands, but
better than a lot of them. I cannot vouch for the reputed "heat
activated" properties as I don't allow heat to get near my hair! But
for good general purpose hair care line, it's nice.
