Is this guy insulting me on my myspace. He has insulted me at least 4 times and called me cousin it and told me to cut my hair. He goes by the name of kevin
"we'll another year older, i am hope you your wishes come true, as you get older, you have to change for the better, improve ones image etc. I think you should consider giving your mane a break and donating it to a charity of your choice. It seems as guys get older, the thickness, growth slows down alot. I think reaching your goal might not work in your future. Kevin"
Then I wrote him a message to stop insulting me. And he replied with a message in all caps, about how I should take pictures with my hair.
Should I ban this guy, he is really just a thorn in my side now. He has been insulting me since the beginning of this year, cut your hair and donate, or Cousin IT.
If you've asked him to stop harassing you and he hasn't, then block him. It's not worth your time to be aggravated by this guy. I never hesitate to block someone, be it Myspace, MSN, or whatever. Take it easy. =)

I'm not sure how MySpace works but the implication is that it's your space and as such your's to control, same as your home. You won't invite somonee into your home that treated you the same way, would you? And why does he care? If he isn't a friend getting to you through MySpace, then what is his point?
Good luck,
Bruce
I wouldn't waste another moment's thought about it, if I were you. Kevin sounds like he's related to the Mosquito, --- and you know what to do w/ mosquitos, don't you?.... SLAP!!!!!!!!!!!!! (The end of Kevin!)
...and add me instead. i'm cuter.
...and add me instead. i'm cuter.
You will come out WAY ahead on this exchange! Ban him, add her!
I'll ban him, and add you, but I warn you I already have a girlfriend.
That won't stop nic ;) Just kidding nic!

And I'm just trying to bag every good looking gal in the Milwaukee area...so what...it's normal.
hey ill be in phoenix next friday haha.
we should get ice cream or play skee-ball or something. for reals. email me.
Skee ball, its been so long!
lol .... thats pretty funny.. just the ones in the Phoenix area.. I used to be at Luke AFB just west of you there.. Of course ... obviously no long hair allowed.. :(
Oh .. btw... Sorry ... my Rockies spanked your Diamondbacks pretty hard in NLCS...
Peace...
Tristan
* east of me. but i'll let it slide since you don't live here. :)
* that picture was actually taken at the second game. it's from the d-backs fansite. we're a famous couple already! offly enough, neither one of us cares about sports, but he was given tickets - so we figured what the hell. but the rockies wouldn't have won if they hadn't paid off the refs the way they did. cheaters!
peace,
nic
I guess I'm safe then. I live in the New York metro area.
i have a boy toy of my own.
Oooh...do tell.
(Yeah I might have to reject your advances as well too, Nic. Okcupid might have helped me find a female member of the species with enough interest in engaging in one-on-one rendezvous with the one known as Antesse. Wish me luck Nic.)
* i met a super nice guy recently. he's uber smart, so much fun to be around, fun sense of style, and is absolutely gorgeous. double bonus - he is 6'4". triple bonus - he has long hair. quadruple bonus - we look super cute with each other.
* hope it works out for you! my friend had good luck with that site. (i did not.)
You do look great together nic! He's a lucky guy! I am very happy that you are hitting it off so well, I knew it was just a matter of time. Congratulations :)
Ohh......he has long ahir too!!!!!

Hi Nic,
What a lovely couple the two of you make, I am SO happy for you!
My best to both of you,
David
Moderators on myspace wont do anything, hell they dont even seem to take action agenst spam accounts
Myspace is a cesspool of whiny 16 year old emo boys, child preditors, spam accounts, and guys pretending to be girls
This 33 year old professional, decidedly NON emo boy tends to disagree with your statement ; ) My friend "pool" consists of many bands, contemporaries/colleagues, and old classmates. Of course, some of them I could characterize as emo and/or whiny, I suppose ; )
I use it to get updates on favorite bands via bulletins, and as a simple place to host a few pics. I've encountered little spam in my 1.5 years with an account. I don't take it seriously, but do enjoy it as a fun place to spend a few minutes during a work break...
I wholeheartedly concur w/ ya . . . I must have some really powerful emo, whinesters, transie repellant! I ain't got any such bad luck! As a fifty year old and somewhat world-renown'd artist (weird surrealistic stuff that I and my ilk refer to as Magical Realism; think the late, great Mati Klarwein meets Robert Steven Connett!) the only peops I have in MY pool ARE friends as well as artists I personally give a nod to.
If ever these boys-pretending-to-be-girls types ask to be add'd, presto, there's the "Deny" button.
Hope ya get a new "slave" soon, Otaku. Temp agencies are real stinkers, and so are new administrators. Feh. Best wishes.
Jus' keep it goin' and growin',
Quenyan
what the hell is an emo boy? every day I come home from work and there's something new....
If they add you, look at their profile. The spammer's profile is very obvious. If they look like a normal person, and have a normal picture(not half naked, or too perfect) than they are legit.
There is a big long hair community in myspace, but it is mostly for ego boosting, unlike mlhh.
Just do what I do, Stay away from myspace.
Yes, I do have an account with them, but i havent been to is in about a year......should solve that problem.
peace

Myspace is basicly just a website where you can post a bit of information...customize it a little and e-mail and IM others, am i right?
I always ask everyone what the point of it is and I get one of two answers:
1) you can message your friends
2) its like having your own webpage you can custom build
Ok....first of all the ability to message others has been around for a LONG time before myspace....its called, e-mail....also there Instant Messageing.
Secondly as for the "your own personal webpage" thing goes....You could make your own website with Maxpages or Angelfire back in the 90s.....LONG before myspace came along...and it was alot better too, more open ended.
I only thought websites made it big when they have SOME feature that is new, innovative, etc....for example..Youtube, its the first website where anyone can post videos about anything for everyone to see. Myspace does'nt bring ANYTHING new to the table yet somehow it became massivly popular.
Also the site does'nt even do a good job of what its supposed to do. I had a myspace account that i used for like a week and i encountered ALOT of glitches and spam. Trouble logging in, trouble accepting friend requests, the list went on and on.
Also almost every account that is supposidly owned by a female is ether:
A) a spam accuont
or
B) a guy pretending to be a girl
Its not like that 100 percent of the time...but 90 percent would probabily be a conservative estimate.
So can SOMEONE please tell me what new feature myspace brings to the table that was'nt availible to the public nearly a decade before the website's creation.
It is the combination of all of those things in one handy site so that you never have to leave the site and only have to check one site. So, as a "Space" it is a space with email, bulletins, shared pictures, shared videos, information distribution, music, and more. Much like a bedroom or a dormroom for those of us with tiny living spaces has a computer, a bed, a television, a stereo, a video game system, and a closet.
There are better sites out there. But the idea is a good thing, I think.
Of course! Anyone who pulled that with me would be blocked in a second! :)
Letting just anyone post on your web page is a mistake. That is why most people quit having guest books long before MySpace came along.
When you let "the world" post on your web page, you will soon find it graffitied with spam and and with brain dumps from people with IQs lower than the state speed limit. The only way to counteract that is to introduce "moderation". The reason MLHH does not look like wide-open sites is that it is moderated.
Moderation is work. It is worthwhile for a group such as MLHH to do that work, and also, enough people in a group like this care about the site enough to undertake and share that work. That is usually not the case with a private page, though. People with private pages see sites like MLHH and think their own page will turn out that nice and clean. Without moderators to head all the trash off at the pass, though, it ain't gonna happen.

If he believes your hair's thickness will decrease dramatically as you get older, prove him wrong with pictures of older people with thick and long hair. I could give you some pictures if you like--I have a nice collection of beautiful hair whether it's straight or curly (It was a bit of an obsession when I initially let my hair grow).
Anyway, delete (and block) him if you want. There's always going to be somebody negative out there whether in cyberspace or real life.
Actually Cousin Itt was a longhair to aspire to. I'd love to have ol' Itt's hair.
For those of you outside the U.S. or too young to know (although it's been in reruns forever so I have my doubts about that) Cousin Itt was a one of a collection of bizarre characters in a long series of New Yorker Magazine cartoons drawn by the late Charles Addams. In the early 1960s a television situation comedy ran for a few seasons that was based on his cartoons.
Not to make light of your trials though, you seem to have garnered an irritating heckler -- probably the best thing to do is ignore him. Cranks want attention--that inflamatory female Ann something is an example. Attention is a positive reinforcement for them, a reward. Ignore them and they'll crank up their act for awhile, but they'll eventually loose interest and move on to torment someone else.
Here's a link to a photo of Itt below:

This is just my opinion but his post seems to be merely a suggestion,
not an attack. If this is as 'bad' as his posts get, I don't
think he deserves to be banned.
true, as you get older, you have to change for the better,
improve ones image etc. I think reaching your goal might not
work in your future. Kevin"
I honestly don't see the harm in banning him. You're obviously taking what he says to be an insult, and you don't know this person, so what do you really care how your banning him makes him feel? Plus, the fact that his reply to your contact was in all caps suggests that he is just some troll looking to get a rise out of you. Ban him and your troubles go away.
