SO messed something up. Lost faith in her ability to use scissors. What's that website everybody's always bringing up with the methods on self-trimming? I thought it was in the links section, but I'm not finding it there!

There's the link ^^
I wish you the best luck! My next trim will probably also be using this method, but only 6 months from now or more =P
Please do tell us how it goes!
Thanks, I'll bookmark this for later use.
Cheers,
Don
This site is really cool, she makes it seem so easy to do once your hair is long enough..I'll definitely try it out when I want a trim but one question. In her V tutorial..she says to simply cut the desired length from both sides of the head when parted in the middle..would that not make your hair have a straight cut not a V?
Not really, the hair from the very back has to reach farther forward than the front hair does to reach your chest area or stomach area if it is really long. This should mean less hair would be trimmed from the back than from the front if level trimmed along your chest or stomach.
I have no desire to trim even a millimeter off of my hair. If I did, I would do it in tiny increments of just a few millimeters at a time.
Be sure to follow their instructions exactly to get the best results.

Don't worry Absalom I don't intend on getting near anyones scissors for the next two years anyway.

I used to self-trim using pretty much the same method. It becomes easier to do as one's hair gets longer. That's actually a hint: if self-trimming is hard, one's not ready for a trim.

I'm at a point where I think a bit of a trim may be useful and I don't trust anyone. I may try this also. Good luck!
