Hi all
Well, ive done my year!!!
This is the longest my hair has ever been in 46 years of being on this planet of ours. The awkward stage does not really bother me, im just pleased to still have the opportunity to have long hair, which is something i have always wanted, but have never done for various reasons.Thamk you people for giving advice and comments along the way, this is a great community, there is always something interesting,( not always about hair, mind you.)Even my friends and family now realize, this is what i want, and dont keep telling me to get a haircut. I saw a mate from an old job the other day, he could not believe it was me, i had my skinhead for over 25 years.

Looking great Jonny H, thats a nice growth for 12 months and you have plenty of hair to work with, enjoy the rest of the journey!!

Hey Johnny! Everything looks great, the longer hair really suits you, it seems to be at about the same length as mine in the back, altough i started out with a little longer hair.

Hey Jonny You look great! Very good growth. I'm glad to see you are being able to finally grow your hair as you wish. It is a transformation in more ways than one. I also started growing from a skinned head. June 1, 2007 is my start date. Seeing your pictures gives me a great idea of what I can expect after a year. I'm gonna print out your picture and tape it to my bathroom mirror. Ah shucks, you are my role model. LOL

Here 'we' are. I've officially reached the awkward stage, big hair today. Time to shampoo and condition.
Excellent job Jonny, looks great and WOW! The difference is so dramatic with you guys that started from just skin. I've always had some hair at least so I can only imagine the sensation that you must experence now that you have some decent hair on your head.

Congratulations on a whole year Jonny, that is the biggest milestone of all. Once you stick that out, the rest is easier. As you said, evrybody leaves you alone about your hair now that they know you are serious about growing it out.
Looks great so far Jonny. I cannot imagine how much patience you guys have who grow out starting as a skinhead! Why I had trouble getting the patience to grow out and I started out with more hair than you have now :)
Good job Jonny, but wait until the awkward stage really hits lol, you haven't really hit it yet! That's what we are here for, you can vent here :)

Hi Jonny what a great update!Its amazing how your appearance changes when you start to lengthen your hair.Seeing pics of guys with a shaved head and then the "after" pics with below shoulder length hair you would not think its the same person.Its great that you decided to go the longhair route yourself as you won't be disappointed.Take care and keep us posted.Mark

Please don't ever go back to being a skinhead. It would be a real shame to shave off such nice hair.

You've come a long way from your skinhead days, and it looks like the longhair days are here to stay. The wavy hair is looking awesome, and I'm glad those around you have accepted your choice.

Whats up man?! Glad to hear you're still sticking with us here on mlhh! I hadn't seen you in awhile so I was beginning to wonder a bit.
The hair looks great. 1 year from a skinhead is a great milestone. I was once there. I am just now starting to feel like my hair is getting long.. It just seems to take forever; but a goal worth waiting for .... right?
