Hello all......i am 18 years old and i want to grow my hair out long, my hair is a natural bonde\red\brown color and its really funky lookin'so i colored it dark brown.........can this slow my hair growth. Also i was wondering does horse shampoo increase growth, i was told so by my sister.......please help! thanx
The horse shampoo/conditioner doesnt help growth, but it does make your hair really nice and shiny. The only thing that helps growth is time.
Coloring your hair can damage your hair, especially if you bleach it first. It may become dry and brittle, which can lead to breakage and splitends. Breakage can give the illusion that your hair isnt growing as much, but the folicles should still be producing at the same rate.
Extra conditioner, leave-in conditioners, avoiding blowdryers, and maybe some oil treatments can help restore damaged hair. You also might try shampooing less often (I wash my hair once a week).
