I've lately been receiving some flack(constructive criticism I'm sure) from some members on this site about my comment on the bangs thread regarding Bruce Dickinson's haircut. First of all, I love Iron Maiden and continue to listen and promote their music through and through, but I feel that does not have anything to do with his hair.
Yes, in my opinion it's a hideous haircut indeed (maybe if I was around in the early 80s I'd understand), but I merely stated my opinion when asked for it. Let's just stray away from the fact that this is not a music forum to my knowledge, its all about the hair. Just want to let you all know that I mean well and didn't want to offend anybody. Now I got the inkling to listen to some Fear of the Dark!
No worries :)
At least you have good taste in music.
Out of curiosity, what do you think of his hair here though?
Peace :)
These are from around 1994 (his solo period). Unfortunately he cut it all off in 1995 (although I guess late 70's-1995 was a good run!)
Hey! I still personally think it looks cool..
i hate to disagree, but Fringe is definetely outdated for rockers alike and those who decide to go that route. Keep the straight one length and reach whatever goal you all choose. good luck.
Great pic. I think he looks much better without a fringe.
looks great!
I don't think anybody was really all that wound up it's just internet banter. It's not always what you say but how you say it that gets certain kinds of responses.
Kevin
I agree 100% with all your points, I dislike bangs on anyone and everyone I have seen so far.
The music is first for me, so whatever Bruce wears is fine with me. Maiden's been one of my biggest favs since my teens in the mid 80's. UP THE IRONS!!

Hi Tosh,
You are right and they are certainly very positive comments. As Kevin so rightly points out as with alot of forums it's internet banter and no reason for anyone to get upset. Also highlights how rich the english language is.
It's also nice to know that people of all ages are still listening and promoting the bands they really like and another great reason why Iron Maiden are still as popular as they were when they started in the late 70's.
Cheers,
