just wondering, when was the point that you thought, i am not a short hair anymore, when you werent a longhair, but you stood out because you had just that bit more than everyone else.
It looks like 7 months is a big change for a lot of people, when they start to look better.
Any pics would be nice..
Thanks
... but then again "Longhair" is a state of mind.
This picture was taken at 8 months
8 months: Bangs reaching the tip of my nose, and can be put inside my mouth when pulled down. Sides could cover all of ear, although I always tuck it behind, and the back was JUST above shoulder length. The back wasn't even that short when I cut my hair so it seemed to grow fast.
I passed 6 months the other week, and I haven't grown my hair out before, so I can't answer from personal experience. I feel a long way away from being a longhair yet, and I would assume you do too (you've just passed 5 months, right?). From what I've read it's at 18 months when you truly have long hair. Although I'd say it'll look long from about a year's growth. As Scooper's picture shows, 8 months is a transitional phase. From what I've seen though, there seems to be a big aesthetic difference from 6 months to about 8 or 9 months of growth.
Thanks for the pic. Your hair type looks just like mine. Would you mind letting us know what products/routine you use? Your hair looks very healthy. At about 5 months I'm still trying different haircare ideas.
Cheers,
Don
Hi Walter,
Thanks for the reply. I'll look for some of those products, especially 'Yellow'. Your hair looks soft and healthy. Mine may be less fine than yours. I'd like less volume, but then I'm only at the 5 months point, I've got to be patient.
I found this video on Youtube:
It's from a curly headed guy that documented his year long journey from shaved to locks in daily pictures. It gives me a good idea of what to expect as Time goes by.
Some days I feel like giving up but I know I can make it through the awkward stages.
I'll be posting my 5 mo. update after Halloween.
Take care,
Don
It took quite a long time for me to truly feel like I had long hair. Almost two years.
It happened when I was out partying and I saw this guy across the room with long hair. The old feelings that caused me to start growing in the first place came out; I was envious of that nice long hair. Then all of a sudden it hit me that I had nice long hair too and that I had no reason to be jealous of anyone! In fact, mine was even longer than that other guy's. That was a good night.
The day I stopped having short haircuts and let it grow!
Cheers,
John.B
The first (and only) time a waitress asked:
"Would you like some more coffee, Ma'am?"
The mustache started growing that instant !! HA!
