My cool milestone is... Segmented ponytail! Granted, I can only tie it in two places as seen in the picture, but a couple of inches and it will be good enough for 3 ties!

Something I have wanted to ask, and have rarely seen posted is:
How do you wash your hair? I just shampoo it, as conditioner does very little other than weigh my hair down. However, I do apply a tiny amount of coconut oil as a leave-in once my hair is dry.
Wash with plain water then conditioner.
I segment mine for work and while my hair isn't that much longer than yours I space the ties closer together and get four.
The Maiden t-shirt suggests you have very good taste in music in my opinion.
I just tried a heavily segmented tail, and it's not bad. Need to get better ties though, thick black to tie it off with and smaller ones down the length I think.
My taste in music is great, I think you'll agree ;)
day 1: clarifier and condx then leave in condx
day 2 and 3 water rinse and condx
day 4 regular shampoo and condx
day 5 water rinse and condx
day 6 see day 4
day 7 see day 5
day 8 cycle repeats.
if I shampooed and didn't use conditioner my hair would be like a sos pad without the soap.
Looking good, Kanden! I wear my hair in a segmented tail for work every day.
My routine - conditoner only wash every couple of days or so, small dab of shampoo every couple of weeks to clarify. In the shower, I wet my hair thoroughly, comb through it with a widetooth comb, massage conditioner into it (usually VO5 Tea therapy, but sometimes Herbal Essences Drama Clean), comb thru again to detangle, further distribute the conditioner and also to gently stimulate my scalp. Leave in while I wash up everything else (about 10 minutes usually) then rinse VERY thoroughly with the coldest water I can stand. On those rare occasions when I use shampoo, I use a drop about the size of a dime, wash and rinse thoroughly (including a comb-thru) prior to the usual CO steps.
I've been doing this for about 6 months, and it is working very well.
