Hello fellow longhairs. I am new to this site, but I have found that it is a wealth of both information and inspiration regarding long hair. Thanks for the good posts, people!
I started growing my hair out over 2 years ago and the picture is from this week. I plan to grow it another 6-9 inches, and I think I will keep it that length.
I always wanted long hair before I had it, and now I wonder why I waited this long, because I think I have always been a "longhair", even when I had short hair. Now I think the hair reflects who I am.

Your hair looks fabulous, it is thick and healthy with great natural waves, and you are doing very well indeed for two years of growth. I am delighted that you now feel long hair reflects the real you.

Great to see you have found our community and you've got lots of information and it's helped. Well it's good to see that you waited no longer and after 2 years you hair is looking great and a great colour.
For many years I had short hair and now after 8 years I can't imagine me without it. Good to see you growing it out and I'm sure will look even better the longer it gets and a great inspiration.

Welcome James. Your hair looks good, and the facial hair looks good with it too. 9 more inches of length should reach the middle of your back, perhaps. It is probably the easiest length to maintain. Many of us here are "born longhairs" and you are almost certainly one as well.

Welcome James, glad you found us. Congratulations on finding your true longhaired self. I feel the same way. I've aways been a longhair, even when I was having my hair trimmed to a "buisness cut" to please "the company". Phooey!!
