... yup, it was worth sacrificing those couple of inches. My youngest really thought I was Shrek, and that kind of magic just doesn't come cheap :)
You can check out my mother's webpage about it at:

Also starring my son as Harry Potter, my daughter as a hunter, and my lovely wife as the Fairy Godmother (yes, the gray hair is a wig!).
...and of course, my youngest as Princess Fiona :)
That is too cool looks like you enjoyed it as did your daughter.
Occasions lile that are what make good memories of growing up she'll have those memories always.
You Rock Shreck.
Kevin
Looks like it worked perfectly. Definitely a good reason to cut your few inches (although there are very very very few reasons to cut hair and the magic of a child's smile because you became Shrek is one of them). Now back on the wagon of growing your hair...you can't be an ogre forever!
I would say that was definitely worth it! Great pictures you have there and I am sure your family will remember this Halloween for a long time. Everybody looked terrific you guys do this holiday right! I loved your Far Far Away display that was awesome :)
I am sure you were the hit of the neighborhood!
Too bad about the stubborn donkey LOL
Very cool pictures...I love the Schreck movies!
Kind of looks like a green Andorian too with the antennae.
Thanks for the kind replies, everyone! It was a truly memorable Halloween, and well worth the effort. I hope all of you had a great time, as well :)
Your family does Halloween right, Validus! Even the substitute donkey worked and that rainbow castle is wonderful. Your mother noted you made the transformation from bearded and hairy dad to Shrek style gradually so your kids still recognized you. That was so thoughtful.
Congratulations on your little Shrek 3 on the way!
