Well, I'm now officially at 2 months of growth. I started with a little under 5cm on top and buzzed(not shaved)sides. I must say I'm pretty happy with the result so far. I think it's growing a bit faster than the normal 1cm per month. My longest front hairs are allready into the 8cm mark. I had a belated wedding party here in the US with all my familiy who could'nt make it to Japan. I kept getting positive comments, and one relative even said "I have seen you with this much hair since you were 8 years or so. It looks really great on you" That felt good. Let me know what you think.
Do you use any other products in your hair? Those flakes could be product buildup, or you might be one of those people who's hair gets cones buildup from the cones in the conditioner. Unless you have oily hair, or a job that exposes your hair to 'stuff' in your environment, washing every 2 or 3 days should be sufficient. Try that and see if the white flakes stop. Your hair is really coming in nice, BTW. Hopefully your lovely new bride is supportive/understanding of your journey. Considering she has such beautiful hair herself, you might want to ask her for hair tips. Us girls have lots of experience in that department. :-)

Thanks for the advice! She keeps saying "It looks really good now, but I dont know about when it gets longer" Which is funny, since that what she has said for 2 months. She just wants it to be shorter than hers. I told her not to worry. Actually, I don't use kind of products. I used to use gels and sprays everyday though. I think that's why I shampoo everyday. I'm just used to it. I've decided to just wash 3 times a week for a few weeks and see what happens. My wife got me some new moisturizing shampoo and conditioner as well. she was playing with my hair today and said it was feeling much dryer than before. Also, I did a hot oil treatment. Wow. Love it. Thanks for the compliments by the way, both her and I appreciate them.
Welcome back to the states, and congrats to you and your wife. The hairs' comin' along nicely and will look great when longer.
Keep on growin'
