Hello everyone! This is an incredibly cool website, wish I knew about it 3 years ago before I cut my long hair. Could've used the support then. Growin' it out again though, because at 48, I still can! Almost out of the "awkward" phase, (it's the worst part, I know), thanks for the information. No recent picture, but I'll work on that.
Mike, Welcome to the board. You will get all the
support you need here!

Thanks for the welcome, I already feel "at home". Grew up in a family of 3 boys and 3 girls; at the end of each school year my dad would take us boys out back and do the "crew cut" thing. God I hated that! Finally decided, at 42, to let it grow, but I got some bad advice, did some things that I shouldn't have and my hair ended up looking like crap, so I cut it off. I've regretted it ever since, so I'm gonna' do it again.
Hi Mike,
Welcome to the hyperbaord, and I am so glad that you have found our community. It is NEVER too late to grow long hair, after all, I am 54 years old and counting! I had long hair most of my life, cut it off in stages starting in 1999 until I had short hair in 2000, then started growing it again in early 2004. Although my hair is not as thick or fast growing as it was when I was in my 30's and 40's, nothing will stop me growing it now.
Keep it growing,
David
Hi, David. I didn't know before you've had long hair all your life but I'm happy to learn that. I really admire you always growing it for it shows you really are a true longhair.
Thanks for the compliments Mike glad you found us. It's
nice to hear your growing it out and look forward to your updates.
Kevin

Welcome Mike, it's never too late to grow long hair. I'm 52 and this is my second time. I also regetted cutting it short but here I am. The second time around is alot easier, you already know what to expect. And there is no awkward stage! At least that was the case with me. Awkward is a state a mind. I truely believe that if you don't let it bother you, then awkward disappears.

Welcome and hope you find all the support you'll need this time! You'll have no need to cut it before you ask for tips, hair cannot always look good but that doesn't mean it's damaged.
