[startrek reference] Ooooh.. another one has been assimilated into the Collective! [/startrek reference] The Longhaired Male Collective, of course, not the Borg.
You have gorgeous hair. And while it may seem slow, you will be tailing it in no time. A year from now, it's going to be great. Those thick brown waves are to die for! Keep it growing, please.
Carol
Welcome Richard, your hair is looking fine, good, thick and healthy, my advice is just leave it and let it grow, ignore any curls or wings and eventually you WILL have great long hair.
Regards Dave
Welcome !
Your hair is coming along just fine....those thick curls will eventually stretch out a bit with weight. Curls take a bit of time before length shows, but when it does, it is fantastic.....take a trip through the members directory to see a couple of curly tops who are inspirational.
Good Luck

Welcome to MLHH, Richard, --- good to see you post here!
Your hair looks fantastic, BTW. It appears to be in excellent shape!
You asked for ideas on how to wear your hair while it's in the middle of growing out to be long enough to be put back in a tail... Well, we commonly call that "the awkward stage", --- meaning: it's longer than you are used to having it; but not quite long enough to have it under control and all back in a ponytail.
What worked a lot for me during that stage of growth was bandanas. You can read more about bandanas on Bill Choisser's site, by going to the Links section, and clicking on "FAQ - On Being A Longhair"). I also happen to like half-tails (where you tie back only the bangs, --- or as they refer to it in the UK, "fringe")... But, most important of all is just simple patience!
Take care. And again, WELCOME!

Be patient, it'll like great when you're done!

Hi Richard,
I would like to extend my warmest welcome to you, and am so happy that you have found the hyperboard, this is really a community like no other. Your hair looks great, is thick and has lost of shine, and the colour is awesome. The only suggestion I have right now is to keep it growing!
Take care, and welcome aboard!
David
Looks great Richard! My only tip for you during this time of your growth is to have patience. Having a good hat helps too! LOL
Thanks for all the support guys and yeah i love my hair and the longer it gets the more i love it i can start to feel it move and play with it and im in love with it and its so think and curly i think when it is finally long i will have gorgeous hair...Thanks so much for the support guys
Hey Richard and welcome to our community! You have great hair, thick & healthy, and it's gonna looks even better when longer:)
I'm heading into my 8th month of growth now in November and i can pull of a small tail in the back of my head, without the bangs of course.
Sometimes i resort to gel to keep it outta my face.
Lookin forward to your future progress!
Simon
Haha yeah i can pull it into a little tail but not the hair up front ...and ive resorted to gel to so dont feel bad haha
Growing your hair out soes seem to take forever one has to have
a huge amount of patients, Your hair is curly and that makes
it seem to take even longer yet. You'll get there though.
