Here's a cellphone camera pic taken today at work. Not the best quality but oh well... :)

Hi Rick,
What a great, LONG ponytail, you sure have fast growing hair! I assume waist length is not too far away by now.
Keep it growing,
David
David,
Thanks. My last cut was March of '04. Sometimes I think the growth has slowed until I brush it and have to move my arm just a little further!
--Rick
that looks great rick, congratulations.
Thanks, Rob. Any plans for getting back out this way again?
--Rick
A Tail to be Proud of, indeed !
Thanks for Sharing
WWT
Thanks, WWT. Just waiting to get to waist length!
--Rick
Rick G. Good looking tail you have there! Very cool!
peace, jonalbear
Thanks, Jonalbear. I have no plans on getting it trimmed or cut, just lettin' it grow!
--Rick
Hey Rick
The tail looks great! And is it ever getting long.
Keep up the good work and enjoy! :-)
Justin~
The longer, the better!
--Rick
Excellent tail Rick, look great!
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Thanks, Bruce... I plan on taking some pics from different angles soon...

Wow Rick! Your hair has gotten very long. It looks great! :-) I don't recall what your goal length was? waist perhaps?....
One last thing, can you do me a favor?, can you please send me that link to the Cali. earthquake tracker site. I've been looking all over for it and can't find it! It would be much appreciated.
Take care Rick.
I don't have any particular goal length in mind. Originally, my goal was mid-back. Now, it seems to be whenever it stops growing!
Here's the earthquake link for your viewing pleasure. Last Tuesday, we had a 5.6 magnitude quake here in the San Jose area. According to Google Earth, I live about 6.5 miles from the epicenter. We were shaking pretty good here! I was at my computer [first floor] working on some music when things started shaking. First thought, 'Wow... this is cool!' Second thought, 'When will it end?' Third thought, 'There plenty of creaking house directly above me!' I got up and started for the door when it finally stopped, about 15-20 seconds later [my guess]. No damage, just some small stuff that fell to the floor. Since then, we've had about 55 aftershocks, most of them between 1-2 magnitude, not enough to be felt.

Whoa! Sounds like a very frightening experience. If I would've been in your shoes at that moment I probably would have needed quick medical attention due to suffering a severe panic attack!
Where I live, Hurricanes can get pretty scary but I think they fall short in the scariness factor compared to an earthquake. I just can't imagine what it feels like to have the the ground shaking and possibly rupturing. Especially if it's a 5.6!
Anyways, Thanks for the link Rick.
Take care and be safe.
If the shaking continued for much longer, I probably would've had a panic attack! As it was, it took about 30-45 minutes for me to get back to normal. This was, by far, the largest quake I've been through. I was also thinking about aftershocks right after the mainshock.
I lived in Ft. Myers from '86-'88 and know about hurricanes. At least with a hurricane, you know when it's gonna hit. Earthquakes give you no warning...

Awesome tail Rick! You definitely should consider an avatar change:D
Take care!
Simon
Thanks, Simon. Yes, I definitely thought of that. My current avatar is about 1.5 years old.. gotta change it!

Where do you work? 9Gazing at rows of pipes above and hearing Bach). That tail is long, and not a real thick one, which tells me that my fine and thin hair will tail well, even when it gets as long as yours. Looks good!
Carol
Thanks... I work as a pipe organ technician, here in the San Francisco south bay area. Work on pipe organs during the week and play jazz in a variety of bands on the weekends. Keeps me off the streets!! :)
My hair is fine and a multitude of colors [thanks to Mother Nature!]. From what I've observed, fine and thin hair usually tails well with no problems...
--Rick
Wow, Rick, that's getting really long! What do you put on it, fertilizer?
Bill
Thanks, Bill... No fertilizer [heh heh], just a good dose of time and hair conditioner!

Indeed your hair is very much longer, I was thinking maybe
you washed with miracle grow.
Kevin
Gee... I wish it were that easy!
--Rick
Hey Rick that is a mighty impressive tail there, I love the color of it as well. Glad you are still getting more growth.
Rick those brass trumpet looking pipes that stick out sideways on that organ are sure odd, I don't remember ever seeing anything remotely like that in any church I have ever been in. They look like they are part of some bizarre calliope :)
Take care Rick!
Hi Chris, Thanks re: the ponytail. Sometimes I think the growth has stopped until I realize that when I'm brushing my hair, I have to brush a little longer. If I don't, the ends that are still on the brush get 'folded over' and I have to brush again otherwise, they'll tangle up.
The rank of pipes you mentioned is called the Trumpet en Chamade. Generally, a typical trumpet sound but much louder than if they were in a pipe chamber. Sometimes too loud!
--Rick
Nice chamade - how many inches is it on?
Not sure but it's plenty loud. Are you an organist or organ tech? I'm here in San Jose, CA.
--Rick
Very good length, looks great in a ponytail too!
Cheers Dave
Thanks, Dave. Your hair's looking good also. I remember your recent pics you posted. I think they've scrolled off into the archives by now.
Take care,
