Lately I decided that I would buy some hair pins. My hair in the front reaches the bottom of my eyes, and it is not possible yet to be able to put it behind my ears, so if I used the pins, then I could move the hair from my face out of my eyes. Do you think this is right? Do I risk ridicule from other classmates for looking unmanly? If I don't do anyting, then my hair just goes right in the front of my face, totally covering my eyes. Any advice?
Thanks

I use bobby pins and have no problems. No one has ever mentioned it.

If they were REALLY for girls, they would be called 'bobbie' pins, right?
I've tried using the metal spring barrettes (sp) but my hair is thin and graying and I can't seem to find the EXACTLY right color and style of ANY clip, band, barrette, etc. to use. All the ladies' ones have too many sparklies and girl-cutsies (my wife and daughter can't get enough of those!) for me.
Probably, if we were going to go for real 'manly', we'd stick to mostly leather thongs (for tying up ponytails and braid-ends) and the oval/rectangular (3" or so) pieces of leather with the 2 holes at the ends and a 4" (wooden?) peg to go through to hold the hair. It's just that I can't find a source.
All in all, 'bobby' pins are good if you get the same color as your hair. They are mostly unsee-able and comfortable.
Good luck!
