Hello all, This is my first visit here so I'm pleased to meet you all. :-)
My hair is somewhere around 6 or 7 inches past my shoulders now and I usually keep it in a pony tail for work etc... It's also very fine and takes a bit of care washing and brushing. I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner as these seem to work best for me. If I completely dry my hair it will be pretty straight, but if I let it dry mostly on its own, it will be wavy near the end.
My question is about my pony tail. I find that it is quite frizzy and hard to keep under control. I'd like a nice shiny, smooth looking one but have no idea how to achieve this. Even the shorter hair around my ears seems to be a bit frizzy.
Any information on how to remedy this would be really appreciated. Products to use? Application? I still want my hair to be soft and smooth but not to look oily and heavy.
Thanks very much. If any other info is needed ask away! :-)
Before you gather your hair to make the tail, put the tiniest bit of leave-in conditioner or a light gel on your hands when they're wet. This kind of smoothes everything down and leaves you with a neat appearance. Run your hands all the way down the length of your hair and kind of twirl the end of the tail around to make it all go together. After you gather it up the first time, sometimes, if you re-wet your hands and re-gather it all up, that helps too if you have a lot of out-of-control hair from sleeping, etc.
I like L'Oreal Melting Gel and Graham Webb Silk Protein Leave-in Conditioner.
*If your hair is very straight, I have no idea if any of this will work; refer to avatar in northwest corner.
Just a tad of jojoba oil works great.....
