Hey guys,
Just thought I'd mention that the new RPG that's come out called the Witcher, has the main character featuring long hair. The interesting fact is that the hair is white.
Usually I wouldn't post this, but this game is more immersive than TES4: Oblivion, and that game was immense. I recommend anyone into RPGs to check it out.

The game does look quite good
But nothing beats Oblivion ;) :D
^ Morrowind. ;)
That's what I thought for a long time too.
In all honesty, Oblivion still has by far the most open ended gameplay, in the sense that you can completely ignore the main quest, and join whichever guilds you wanted, which is what I did. Also of course the ability to go anywhere in a huge virtual world. But it ends there.
The combat is a massive improvement over Morrowind, but there are no spears, no dual wielding, cookie cutter combat moves, axes count as blunt weapons, etc.
The main quest was fairly bad, but that was compensated by great quest lines like the Dark Brotherhood, but even here, you got no choice in what the outcome was.
This is where The Witcher manages to beat Oblivion.
1) The combat is VERY varied, innovative, etc.
2) Improving your skills and attributes is reflected in the gameplay and visuals, rather than just simple statistics. For example, allocating points towards group sword wielding will build up more move combinations, rather than simple +10% damage. This is to a certain extent present to Oblivion but much more in the Witcher.
3) The main quest is very immersive, and ties in nicely with the side quests, whether you do them or not.
This here is the main point:
4) After about Act II, you can no longer assume neutrality in important conflicts, as Witchers historically did (historically meaning game lore). You have to make choices that aren't black and white. There's no simple good or bad choice. You must anticipate the lesser evil. These choices appear in almost all the quests, both sideline quests that are optional and the main ones. Moreover, decisions you take in side quests will be reflected in the main quest.
Deciding to spare a werewolf who still has human characteristics and abandoning your mission goals may mean he saves your life later on in the game, or at least makes it easier. The best part? These decisions only manifest themselves 5-15 hours into the game, meaning you'll have to live with them, and can't simply reload the game to see what the various consequences are.
What creates the atmosphere? I could list loads of factors, but what game has people going into houses or trying to get under a roof when it starts raining? I know Oblivion didn't.
Yeah, this game looks like it's going to be pretty good. I'm going to give it a try as soon as i get the chance. :)
It's a bit of a bonus that the main character features longhair. It's usually fairly difficult to find a good longhair in the gaming world.
I saw some screenshots from this game and it does look cool, maybe worth a buy in the near future:D
I'm also a big fan of Oblivion, i even bought the collectors edition about a year ago when it was released here in Sweden, but now i haven't played it for a few months, should pic it up again because i kinda miss Cyrodiil, last time i played as a thief.
I'm a Dark Elf Vampire in the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild :P
Although last time I played I endeavoured to complete the Mages guild quests too (I wanted the Staff of Worms that re-animates dead people to fight for you :P
hmmmm, so that's what my hair will look like in a couple years ;)
