OK - I did something stupid - I had shoulder length hair, all grown out and I cut it just to go on a stupid interview. Now I want to grow out again but I/m so frustrated b/c I have to go through all that crap again of it not being long enough to tie back and looking like a mess. One thing I did last time was put a chemical relaxer in and that helped...anyone have suggestions or inspiration for me??
Well just like it grow! It's just a shame that you could not have checked if there were any dress restictions etc. You can still get away looking well presented and tie you hair back. We often hear stories like this in this forum. If it was that a stupid interview why did you cut it.

Well there were restrictions, unwritten of course. The recruiter told me that I can't go to interviews with long hair. It was a corporate financial place ...I didn't get the job anyway, and I decided that I am going to continue with grad school in the spring.
Throw the scissors away and be patient. Sadly what took two minutes to cut off will take over a year to grow back.
Sure. This time around just let the hair grow and go through all kinds of wild stages and enjoy a different look every day. Make it fun for yourself. Some of those wild stages are really neat and it is a once time thing only.
Summery: relax and enjoy. :-)
