I was playing Doom II today and remembered that at the last level, your supposed to shoot a rocket into a deamon's brain. However, I also remembered that if you switched the game into no clipping mode, you could go inside where the rocket is supposed to be fired into.
To my surprise, there is a guy's head on a stick and he has LONG HAIR!
Too Funny! I bet the head is supposed to be one of the developers of the game. :-) I love easter eggs :-)

I remember that! idclip, right? and then there's another code, iddqd... what does that do? its been a while since i played it. i just remember the last level is absolute mayhem.

I use to play Doom and Doom II all the time in the 90s. I used to hack levels too. I remember one hack I did turned the weapons into rapid fire. I reset all the weapon order delays to 1 and set the ammo max to something lile 10,000 rounds. Ever take on a Cyber Demon with the pistol? LOL.
Here are the cheats I remember:
iddqd - God Mode
idfa - All weapons with ammo
idkfa - All weapons with ammo and keys
idclip - no clipping mode
idpispod - no clipping mode
idclev - change levels

This engine supports hi-res GL graphics modes. Doom looks more like quake now. Also runs on XP as well as Linux! :-)
That's John Romero - the chap who did all the level art. I was researching into Doom and how it was made just a few weeks ago and found that out. I remember when I discovered it 10 years ago thinking that the long hair was cool.
