  Greetings board,

  Just visiting the site for the first time, I am enjoying and learning.

  I have very fine, dirty blond hair that comes down to my shoulders (17 mos never trimmed). Are there any braiding techniques that work well for long, straight, fine hair? The braids my girlfriend does usually fray pretty badly, but its mostly remedied by a little hair gel.

  Anyone have any pics or suggestions, something masculine? I am 1/2 Swedish so I have been looking into some Viking styles but haven't found much.

    Try the "Dreamweaver Braiding" website. They might have some ideas for you...
