*NOTE: I am not planning to straighten my hair anytime soon*
Anyway, my cousin came back from the Netherlands 2 days ago, and surprisingly had really long, perfectly straight hair that just surpassed his shoulders. I asked him if he straightened his hair and he said that he did and that his hair would last for like, 6 more months looking straight.
Anyone have ANY idea what kind of hair straightening method he did? It can't possibly be some kind of flat-iron straightener. I would ask him soon, but is it chemical straightening/something else?
My wife does it about every 4-6 months. It's less harmfull (so I'm told) than a traditional chemical perm. I'm sure Antesse or one of our other resident scientist can tell you that doesnt make much sense. But from personal experience, my wifes hair always looks and feels healthy. Who knows, maybe it is LESS harmful, but it's still harfull. However, this technique was devoloped for use on japanese hair... which is quite unlike yours or mine. there is tons of info though, just goolge it.
Happy growing.
