I was on a movie nostalgia trip and realized all the women with long hair put it in a braid-loose or tight- to sleep in. Does this make a difference-mine isn't long enough to braid but it sure tangles a lot as it is-I'm a very active sleeper. What do ya'll think-(yeah I'm from the south)
Yup, it does help. When my hair was too short to braid, I'd do a ponytail of sorts (like Pebbles Flintstone) at the top of my head, then a bun on the top. No one was going to see it, it's just to keep the hair from getting tangled. As a bonus, if you like body in your hair, wash your hair in the evening, do the braid/bun/whatever for sleeping, and you get waves in the morning.
Agreed. It does help reduce tangling, sometmes I sleep with mine in a braid.
