First off, Since I didn't give in at all and stood on my ground, My sister has not bothered me since. I think she even relized that she really upset me and somewhat appoligized in the sence. I think she realized, she cannot control me. I am a free thinker. :-)
I have a feeling she may be jelious of me because her brother, with only a high school graduate on paper, makes more then she does and now has his own house. My sister went to a four year college and has a small appartment in D.C.. It's not my fault that I worked my ass off and that I am very good at what I do. Plus, there really isn't a degree for I.T. outside of experiance and certifications.
As for the house, it is awesome. I did have to do two things after moving in. One, I had to turn the temp on the water heater up to 140 degrees as it was set to 110 degrees. This was probably because the unit is brand new and the house was vacant. Second, the kitchen sink went from free flowing to a dead clog in one day. I had to dismantle the plubming under the sink and snake about 6 feet into the drain pipe that goes in the wall. I suspect that since the house was vacant and under renovation, the drain pipe had dried out and rust had flaked off the sides of the steel pipe. Once water made it's way down it from being used, the rust that broke free, clogged it up. It's good to go now. :-) My sister was utterly amazed I was able to fix it. To me it wasn't even a challenge, other then bending in wierd positions to get to the pipes.
Other then that, I am fine. Plus, I feel I don't have to worry about my other sister's wedding as she most likely would have brought my hair and beard up already. My hair is going to remain long!!!

I know how you feel bro, good job for standing your ground, wish I could do that at my school.

Just a comment about the hot water heater.
Not that I'm a scientist, although I DO have long hair .... the heat loss that you get out of a system (I believe) changes exponentially with the difference in temperature between the inside and outside. What this means is that a hotter water heater will lose more heat and use more energy than a cooler one. You DO need to have the heat set up at least high enough to kill most bacteria though. The other advantage with a cooler water heater is that it reduces the chances of an accidental scalding.
Just my 2 cents.

It's great the subject wasn't brought but even if it had been, you should have remained calm and told her you'd keep your hair. Congratulations on the new house and always stick to your beliefs! :)
Glad to hear everything is going well :)
