Since I cut my hair back in October, after 10 months of growth, I have decided on a new goal length. I will let the bangs reach chin length while keeping the rest at my shoulders. Not too long but atleast it looks good. :] How many months could this take?
I'd say a year and a half
Once upon a time, when my hair was long, it took about 13 months for my bangs to reach the end of my chin, starting at a length of approximately 2 inches.

Depending how fast your hair grows will enter into this, but most likely your growth rate is the usual 1/2" per month. Somewhere around a year+ I would guess.
My hair is currently just barely past my chin at the bangs. Starting at baldness, this took me about 20 months to achieve in total.
I find it to be a good length also, but it is the longest my hair has ever been so I am going to explore the new territory before I decide on a long-term length.
Peace
