I'm sure you've read this before but i guess I get tired of people freaking out and countinting hai in the sink.....
Hair density depends upon race and hair color. Caucasians have the highest hair density; the growth rate is average. Blacks have medium density and slowest growing hair. Asians have the lowest density but the fastest growing hair.
In Caucasians, people with blonde hair have an average of 140,000 hairs; brunettes or dark-haired people will average 110,000 hairs; and red-haired individuals will have the least density with an average of 90,000 hairs.
It is possible to have 250,000 hairs if it is fine and thick
(dense) at the same time. Check out message 64100 in the
archive. Victor (who is the founder of this board) has a
daughter with a hair count of 250,000. Read down further to
see his brilliant method of determining her hair count.

Very interesting! Too bad I can´t try it until maybe another year when I can get evereything into a ponytail.
You could do it now Erik. You would have to make 6 mini tails all over your head, divide each in half 8 times instead of 10 and count the hairs in each. Add the the 6 counts together and multiply by 250. Someone would have to do this for you, it is hard to do it yourself.

Ahh this is an ingenious method for hair count. According to what I got, I have about 182048 hairs on my head, not counting flyaways.

I have 1000's of hairs more of them grey than brown these days!
