Hello men,
It's been a while since I've posted. How's everyone?
I don't have any updated pics at the moment, but the hair's still long. It goes well below my shoulder blades. Probably 5-6" above my navel. I was also growing out a beard for a while, but I have a few bald patches so it didn't work out. I'm going to try again soon, since my facial hair has been developing a lot lately, and it's finally almost thick enough to almost grow it out completely. I'll post progress pics as I go along hopefully.
Anyway, I was talking to a friend of mine and she showed me how to use hair sticks. I like the style, and I was wondering if any of you ever use hair sticks to restrain your hair. Also, does anyone have any recommendations about a particular brand or type of hair stick?
On a side note, in one of my classes we are making paint brushes from found sticks and animal hair. I decided to cut off a lock of my hair to use for the brush tip. Works pretty well, even considering the brush tip is curled because my hair is pretty curly. I'm getting a trim soon so cutting off the lock was not a problem.. plus I can't even tell where I cut it off.
My standard work/errand/don't want it down or in the way style is a single stick bun. My usual stick is a lightweight stainless steel chopstick...I also have some non-metallic chopsticks for flying.
Sticks like any other hairtoy come in all types and qualities. But, if you have access to diverse shopping, they don't have to be expensive or feminine looking (if that is something you care about).
My name is Supra with classic length, and I always wear my hair in updo.
so feminine right :)
Hello men,
I love hair sticks! I kept my hair in buns during all summer, I even wore a bun with a simple black hairstick for my wedding!
I sometimes use hairsticks. If you go to a store that sells Oriental stuff, you can find cheap ornamental chopsticks sometimes in non-fancy and non-Oriental designs. These work well. Other than that, go to girl shops for hair accessories (like a Claires/Icing/etc) and you can often find types that would work.
Here are the sticks I have. On the left is a pair of smooth black/brown chopsticks with a cool twist at the top. From a tea store (Teavana). On the right is a more ornamental but still suitable for a guy set of hair sticks. From a girl store (Icing).
Still think you should make a video to shore your stick wisdom with the rest of us ignorant souls....lol

Nice. Thanks.
