And here is #2!LOL.Mark
Nice one there Mark!! Hope all is good! Take care!
I like this one the better of the two. Hair looks really good in this one, very 80s :) The perms curls really shorten that long hair don't they lol. It is fun to dig out these old pictures once in a while, I am glad I did so before I got to see lots of cool old looks since then! These old pics from people have really looked great despite people's protests!
Take care Mark
WOW, Mark, i DEFINITELY would not have recognized you!! If it makes you feel any better, in 1989 I was 37 (10 years older than you), --- and had a MULLET (lol)!!
And now of course I'm STILL 37 [ahemmmm...]; but, thank the stars above that no more mullet!
One of htese days I need to get a scanner...
Thanks for the fun post, Mark!

Hi Ken!
Glad to see you post again as I did notice your abscence and was hoping everything was OK.As for the pic it is fun to look back and see what I looked like so long ago.I''m sure we all have pics like that tucked away in our closets.LOL.I'd love to see your mullet pictures as I'm sure the'd be fun to see.Chris G. suggested a while ago about what to do about posting regular photos which is what I did. That is go to your local Kinkos as they have a machine there that scans the photos and then can burn them to a CD or other media card should you have one.I thought it worked well and wasn't too costly. The CD can hold around 25 photos I was told by someone who worked there.Anyway Ken I'm sure you'll love my upcomming 1982 pic when my longhair journey was in its infancy!LOL.Glad your back my friend.Mark
Cool look, I loved the 80's
Paul
Hi Paul.Yes I loved the 80s too and sure miss going to the rock clubs where just about every guy in the audience had longhair like the bands on stage.Ah those were the days!LOL.Mark
Hi Mark,
So you were a CURLY, with your permed locks! What a difference from today, with your straight, waist length mane you have now. But this is a great photo, and it is cool to share these photos from the years gone by.
I have an old photo of the last time I had long hair before my 1999 cut. It was taken in late 1998, about 5 months before I cut it, and was close to the longest I ever wore it. (I started my current regrowth in 2004) I should get that one posted sometime, even if it DOES have a lot to be desired, lol!
Take care,
David
Hi David
Yes the permed hair was certainly a bold statement I made back then as my hair is naturally straight.I just wanted to try something different as I wanted to simulate the Bon Jovi look he had back then.LOL.I'd love to see your backdate pic if you ever get the urge to post it.I'm sure its better than you give it credit for:)Thanks for your comments David and your great work helping out the board.Seed ya soon my friend.Mark
How many months or years did you keep your hair permed? Did you get more than one?
Fabulous Mark, thats so Def Leppard!! You know I might just have to dig out and scan some of my 'mullet' days, that will certainly give everyone a laugh!! These images bring back fond memories of a time in late school and art college days, the 80's metal, big hair, Miami Vice silk jackets with the sleeves rolled up, legwarmers over tight jeans, cowboy boots, the smell of patchouli aaaahhhh. Thanks for posting Mark!!
Warm regards, Dave
80's metal hair. At least it's not a mullet or a mohawk. :-P
