Right now as I write this VH1 has a program on
about the top 40 hair bands of the 80s.
I watched it too. Did you notice what Dee Sniders shirt said? It said "Fear The Mullet"! I'm not sure who should have been number one but I don't think it should have been Poison. This is my first time posting here but I've been visiting this site for awhile.

Poison was number 1? There have to be a million artists better than
poison.
Well i agree, almost everyone is better than Poison. But like it or not they probably were the best "hair band". Hair bands were mostly about energy, something that Poison had alot of. They really knew how to make the girls go crazy and could really work a crowd and show off and stuff.
Don't forget that they weren't basing that list on musical talent alone, but the whole package. I love Poison with all my heart and even worked for them last year, but I agree that though they are very talented, there are lots of others that are better musically. You know what I mean? Poison was easily the most popular, well-known hair/glam band. They kinda EPITOMIZED that time and that attitude. I just wish they hadn't used "big hair" for Slaughter. I believe most of you would agree with me that Slaughter never had "big" hair, just LONG hair. They STILL (with an occasional exception of Mark) have some of the most beautiful hair I've ever seen.
A freind of mine ran the poison fan club. Poison sucks.
I watched it the first time it came on. I like Poison and they were probably the best hair band but some of the other people on their list were better like Def Leppard which I don't consider a "hair band"
