Yesterday while walking through town about 10pm two people in a car pulled up beside me and one of them shouted "eer get a f*cking hair cut!" then they drove off
Not only are they complete sheep, they drove of which makes them cowards....this kind of things really makes me angry
Sorry about the ranting but i had to express my anger somehow
Who knows? They were probably drunk, or stupid, or a combination of both.
jeffrey.
I get it all the time bro, little kids mostly, like this one time I was at the pool, and these little kids were giving me a mean look, then I went by a tennis court that was also there, and three little kids about 6 years old went "Oh my gosh!" "Thats a boy?" "He's wearing a pony tail!", I understand, I used to get extremely mad about the comments I received on a daily basis, but now I got over them, and learned to take them as a complement. Just let it roll of your back, and smile at the ignorance that the people that insult you have.
Best Wishes,
Josh
Absolutely right about them being cowards. If they wanted to prove a point (which they dont have) they should have never driven off.
Keep it growing

Ah, stupid people they were, well the world's full of those.
Don't let it get to you.

Every time someone does that it just makes you look better if you ignore them. When you ignore a slur it makes you look like the better person. Case in point, there was this woman in the City(Manhattan) that was handing out flyers being really aggressive to everyone that past by. When she realized I wasn't a sheep and wasn't going to take her flyer, she started calling me a racist hippie, and just about every other long haired slur in the book, so much for tolerance heh. Even though I am not a hippy or a racist.
Even the shothairs will give you respect if you are not defensive and insecure about your hair.
Next time carry around a heat-seeking missile launcher with you, so when they drive off you send a little surprise after them :P
...I gave up paying any attention to people who yell from cars or trucks.
Kenneth is right. Ignoring them is best. There is no more powerful insult than ignoring people altogether. Also, it takes the least amount of energy, and such people aren't worth your wasting any on them.

The world is full of jerks. I find that their isn't anybody important enough to piss me off with that kind of behavior.
drive-bys you can ignore; besides they were probably drunks given the hour. never respond to a drunk.
in a confrontation indoors with someone you know it's a bit different. the last time that happened i told this guy he wasn't really the type I was trying to look attractive to. A variation: "I'm so relieved you don't like my hair; I was worried there for a minute." It's kind of amusing to me that some people think their opinions carry so much weight that they think I'm going to run to a barber shop right away. They must be eating too much processed food or something.
I'm always surprised to hear stories like this. Where do you people live that there is such hostility and intolerance? I live in a Conservative "red" province in Canada and even here have never encountered such attitudes.
It's not like long hair on men is something new or unusual.
Geez, what's this world coming to.......
