Well after my self induced trim I'm here to report I'm at 49 months now. Here are some pictures. Even after cutting off my raggedy ends I'm still waist length.

Even though your photos are quite blurry and a bit difficult to see clearly, I have to say that your hair looks fabulous. You are blessed with thick and straight hair with lots of shine.

Your hair is superb, Kenneth. Even with the blurring in the photo I can see that. One major plus of really long hair is that self trims can be done quite easily. A 1/2" trim twice a year is usually enough to keep the ends even, while allowing for 5" of additional length per year. (I don't trim, but I feel alright with my uneven ends.) Keep growing it for sure. Classic length would a good secondary goal.

Yea I think classic length is probally where I will stop. If I don't run into terminal length issues, if my terminal length isn't that far beyond, I still have very long growing hair.

I hope all is well with you and it's been a while and what an amazing change. You still can see from the pictures that your straight hair has great thickness and a lovely colour. The trim has certainly given your hair alot more definition. I remember using my first webcam it was not the best, the pictures give us a really good idea. Great to see it's getting longer an do you have any length goals.
I hope the myspace group is going well and growing in numbers.

There isn't just enough interest out there. There are like 100 longhaired men groups in myspace, but I'm the only one that bans spammers and deleting off topic messages on site.
Good for you and glad someone keeping them at bay. Some people are so lazy and I have to approve the comments and so many dumped.
I have to look through everyones profile that adds me too. I have also set my myspace up so a comment has to get approved. No more spam comments or potential slanderous comments make it onto my comment page. I certainly wouldn't let me little sister use myspace, she is in the 3rd grade, even though I am 1000 miles away I always warn my parents about the dangers of myspace or any other social group that will pop up when she starts nearing her preteen years.
Even though looking through photos that are a bit unclear, it is easy for me to see that you have really great long hair. I now have trims as well to keep all at waist length.
Thanks for sharing with all of us your terrific progress and I am so glad that you have made-it! It takes a long time to grow hair as long as is yours.

I was about to hit my 6th anniversary (Feb. 5, 2008) but I got
a trim. But I am happy to report that it was not due to split
ends--because I had not even one. Proof positive (at least for me)
that hair can survive 6 years of washing, conditioning, sunshine and wind without having any damage at all.
