Hello All! It's been a couple months since I posted an update pic -
Here's the back:
And here' the side:
For comparison purposes, here's a pic from back in June (5 months ago)
Wow! your hair looks awesome. It has some very nice waves and appears to be in top-notch condition. Mine looked similar before. it was wavy and didn't have many curls, until, it grew a bit longer. I have now developed wretched curls and loose ringlets which can easily be dealt with if I brush my hair. That'll make it appear wavy for a while. By the way, do you have a goal length in mind?
=Chris H
My first goal is to make it to April 2008 without a trim, that would be a new record for me. If things continue to go as well as they have so far, I'm aiming for belt-length.
Jim
That is truly great long hair that you have. I love the way it has of making the illusion that it is in motion.
Fantastic update! :-)
Never thought of that! I take the pictures after my hair is freshly washed, airdried, and fingercombed - I wear it constrained in a segmented tail most of the time, so that's really the only time that it's in its "natural" state.
Jim
Great hair. i like the waves a lot :)
Did you have any maintenance trims along the way?
Not really - my last haircut was in April 2006 - I did trim a little around the ears and at the base of my neck early on, to keep it looking presentable at work, but nothing more.
Jim
Hi Beliarius,
Welcome back to my fellow LHC member! I saw these photos in your journal yesterday over at the LHC, and am very pleased you decided to share them with us on the hyperboard. You have awesome, thick, hair, with the most fabulous natural waves. You are blessed with a fast growth rate as well, and I hope you plan to grow it a lot longer.
Keeop it growing,
David
Thanks, Gentleman Dave! One of these days I'll get around to starting a real photojournal over there.
Regarding the thick hair, I have my maternal grandfather to thank for that. When he passed away at the age of 94, he still had a full head of hair, and it didn't start going gray until his 80's. My father, on the other hand, started going bald in his 20's!
Hi again, Jim,
That is very interesting to hear about the hair that your relatives had. Although I have nowhere near the thickness that you have, I really have to be thankful for what I have at 54 years and 4 months. My grandfather(dad'd side) had a full head of hair when he passed away at 85, but my dad was much worse off. He started to lose his hair in his 40's, and although he was never bald, his hair had thinned badly by the time he passed away at 79. Both my oldest brother (passed away last year at the age of 58), and my older, still living brother (age 57), had/have full heads of hair. I have no idea of my mom's relatives, they were all in the UK, and my mom's dad passed away fairly young.
Hopefully, you will start a photojournal over at the LHC one day. I have made lots of friends over at the LHC since I started one (I hardly posted at all before that), and I really enjoy interacting with the ladies, and it is not only about hair that I enjoy talking about with them. No wonder I have over 4000 posts over there!
Take care,
David
LOL! (Covering my mouth and chortling in an attempt to sustain the laughter). I could say something here, but my words might get me banned. (Having a really devious thought here).
David, if your curiosity is getting the better of you, drop me an email, and I will tell you, guaranteed to make you blush!
Carol
Hi Carol,
I'm blushing already, what have you got up your sleeve anyway!?
Until later,
David
By "interacting with the ladies", I meant that I like to gab with them about everything, whether it is a new spaghetti sauce recipe, a recipe for hot buttered rum, everything but the kitchen sink. I SURE hope my words were not interpreted to wrong way!
Until later, again, and still blushing
David
Only 'interpreted the wrong way', by those of a devious nature.
"There was a little girl who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead;
When she was good, she was very, very good,
And when she was bad she was horrid."
Horridly yours,
Carol
Ah David, you sly dog you! No wonder you are so popular!
HA HA Ha!!! George, You DID catch me, after all! But today, I am getting severe LHC withdrawal symptoms, the site has been down all day, and all I get is that stupid "the page cannot be displayed" screen whenever I try to access the LHC. This has been going on since last evening, I SURE hope they fix it soon.

Belisarius, Your hair is coming along quite nicely.
Keep it growing!

Full, thick, wavy and healthy !!
Couldn't ask for much more.....
Thanks for Sharing

Dang! That is nice hair. The warm walnut color, the texture, fullness, just superb. I'm sure you will have no trouble reaching your goal length.
