Sorry I haven't been around too much lately, it gets pretty crazy around the holidays, then we take a vacation after Thanksgiving.
Boy, there was a bunch of birthdays of late... Happy Birthday to all of you longhairs!
And a great number of updates... impressive guys, keep it growin'!
I passed two years since my last haircut in October, but I feel my real anniversary is now, in December because that is when I consciously had to not get a scheduled haircut (I called up and actually cancelled it!)
Lately I've come to a decision to start Rogaine after I get back, and I'm going to let my wife trim my hair. I think it's time to neaten up the ends and she's promised me that she'll cut just an inch. I know, in the past I've said she would like to see me with short hair, but still I trust her to do it right thing. I'll let you know how that goes.
Well here's a couple pictures of a week ago. I don't think my hair was the best in these pictures, but they are the lastest
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Your hair is a lot longer than I thought, Bruce. It looks
great. Rogaine is a good idea. It will help to fill in that
thin spot. Keep it growing for sure.
Scott
Hi Bruce,
I am blown away by how fast your hair grows, and your hair is in excellent condition (I remember you saying that you have only ever had one or two split ends at any time), has lots of shine, and the red colour is awesome! You have reached mid back in just over 2 years, so you are right up there with ChrisG with close to the fastest growing hair on the hyperboard. (He did cut his hair recently, however) I am at 44 months, and you have passed me in length already. Both your ponytail and overall length in back are longer than mine (mine is still a couple of inches from mid back), and your ends are thicker as well. If you have any trimming done, you really only need as very slight one to achieve the "all one length" look that a lot of us want, myself included. You should have no problems achieving waist length if you wish, and I hope you consider that as a goal. I am also very pleased to hear that your wife is becoming more "acceting" of your long hair.
About your slight thinning in the crown area, you may wish to consider propecia as well as Rogaine. I don't use Rogaine, but started propecia about a year ago, since propecia actually gets to the root of the MPB problem. I think it has helped my crown area to some degree, although some thinning is still evident.
Keep it growing,
David
Hi Bruce
Nice update and thanks for making it lite as I'm watching my figure. :) The hair looks really good, as in healthy, shiny,
well cared for.
Well Done
Kevin
awesome update dude looking great!
Scooper, Your hair is looking very nice these days.
Great color and length!
peace, jonalbear
Tremendous growth in just two years! Your hair is looking fantastic. Good luck with the trim, and with trying Rogaine to help with the slight crown thinning. Either way, thick or thin, long hair suits you very well!

Hi Bruce,
Your hair looks great and I can hardly beleive the length you've grown in a relatively short time. I hope the trim by the wife goes well and that the results are satisfactory. Good to see you posting.

Wow it's looking much longer than your avatars! Keep it growing!
Best Wishes,
Josh
Wow, Bruce, your hair is getting so long, and boy does it looks GOOD. The color and shine are fantastic (the golden red reminds me of a lion's mane). Whate3ver you're doing, keep doing it!

Bruce, hair is looking good.
There is a thread on the LHC about a trial for monistat (miconazole) for hair growth. It evidently is the same active ingredient as in Rogaine, but less expensive and without a prescription. Many of the people have had good success in a short amount of time. You may want to check it out.

I'm kinda partial to the finasteride (Propecia, Proscar) myself. It is pricey, unless you can get insurance coverage. The generic of Rogaine is fairly cheap. You still have a fair amount of coverage on the crown, so the sooner you start using something, the better, as it prevents further loss.
Your hair is like mine, thin with natural waves and red highlights. We could be hair twins! Hope the wife goes easy with the scissors. Perhaps she is getting used to the longhaired you? Yours looks very nice.

Hey Bruce! Nice to see an update from you, you've made som remarkable progress over the past few months, soon you'll be at waist length, if you intend to grow it that long:D
Take care!
Simon
These pics were great, Scooper. Also, it is very encouraging (as someone whose spouse was not/is not a fan of their husband's long-hair journey) to know that you are trusting our wife to do the right thing and that she likely will.
Great inspiration!
