Hey fellas and gals!
I just snapped a few pics and uploaded them to my Photobucket page, which you can access from the link below:
I'm really happy with it so far. Unlike my first journey to Longhairland, I've resisted going to get a trim or to shape it up. Last time it left me with much shorter bangs than the rest of my hair. Now they're pretty much uniform. Now if I can only lose the tons of weight I put on in the past couple of years...jeez.
A funny thing happened at work yesterday. Since I've been more comfortable with the way it looks, I wear my hair down instead of a ponytail. Yesterday it snowed and a co-worker said she didn't want to go outside because it's a "bad hair day." She touched my hair and said, "You know aboout that, now. Don't you?" Good times.
Take care and keep it growin', y'all!
Brett
Brett's Longhair Progress Pics
Hi Brett,
Even though all I can see in the body of your message here is a box with a red "x" in it, I clicked on the link you have attached. You have made amazing progress from your short hair in August of last year to the present day, and even in the past few months, your length has increased tremendously (especially from November to December). Your hair is in excellent condition now, and it appears a lot straighter and thicker in your December photos as well. Hopefully, you plan to grow it a LOT longer!
Keep it growing,
David
Lookin' good there "GB" and as always, you are enjoying yourself!
Thanks for Sharing

I can relate; I also am just getting to the point where I think my hair looks decent down instead of in a tail all the time.
I'm with you on shaking the Santa look also!
Great to get positive reinforcement. Keep it up.
Bwahahaha! Yup! Been there, done that. But the plus side is the extra insulation you get from your hair, even if it is a "bad hair day".
As to weight, my secret was changning the kinds of food I ate. Get rid of processed white grains, and replace them with whole grains. Whole grains fill you up more, so you eat less. The weight loss is gradual, but it does happen. My pantry is stocked with whole grain wheat pasta, brown rice, whole grain cereals and snack items. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies, and use reduced fat products when you can. I buy reduced or low fat margarine, ice cream, yogurt, etc. You'll lose at least a 1/2 pound to a pound a week, just by doing the above. Total lost so far? 70 lbs, and still going. Took me two years, but they say slow is the best.
