Just thought that I'd post my progress shot.
These tresses were merely two and a half inch bangs
in 2006 (April). Let this serve to encourage all of our newbies.

Hi Quenyan,
At long last, you have posted an "update" of sorts, and I hope you plan a more "complete" one in the not too distant future. Your hair looks great, and you have made amazing progress for a year and a half of growing, and I hope you plan to grow it a lot longer. Keep up the great growth, and continue to be an inspiration for those who are early in their hair growing journey!
Also, I noticed that you are no longer growing your beard, from a reply you made to another thread. I did ask you a question there, but you did not see my question at the time I posted it. I know that the decision to grow a beard has to be up to the individual, and sorry it did not work out for you.

As you already know, twas YOU yourself who, along w/ several others, served as inspiration in (re-) growing my beard again.
But, as the weeks wore on into months, I was disappoint'd in its short length. I have, inaccurately, been told that I've got the patience of Job. LOL!
With this attempt I grew impatient. I'm happy w/ my hair length, though, seemingly faster growing than most. But, eventually, I'm going to show off that double-end'd beard characteristic of the Merovingian dynasty, that family geneaological research (on my late father's side) tells me I'm descend'd from.
And yes, I DO promise to show better updates. It'll have to wait, though, until Father Christmas brings me that camera and scanner that I'm hoping he'll leave under the beautifully decorated Tannenbaum here (*grinning a grin of anticiption*)...
