Heey everyon! I've not been too much on the board these past couple of weeks due to moving into a new house with my mother and stepfather, and i just got the internet connection working again last weekend:D
Damn, i get crazy if i don't have the net awailable, lol, it's funny how important the internet can be for most people nowadays:D
As for my hair, it's there and growing, only 3 months to my 1-year mark of regrowth, somehow my hair doesn't feel as thick now as it did before, but either way i want to try to grow it to terminal at least once in my life:)
The front, one thing that is bugging me is the bangs, they're like flipping upwards and are always frizzy, i wonder if this is normal at this stage or if it's damage?
Back, i may head in for a trim in naybe a month or so, or at least cut a little bit from the back so the the sides will catch up a bit
Another pathethic tail attempt, but it seems like it's thickened up a bit since last time:)
The side
That was it, take care guys & gals and seeya around!
Simon
Here it is!
Hair is starting to look really good. Keep on growing!
-animosity
Wow, you still look kinda short haired form the front, but then from the side, and back especially, you are well on your way.
A trim isnt nescasary, but up to you
Nice progress mate.
heres to 10 months
Yeah i've got this kinda mullet goin on right now, lol:D, but that's not too bad:)
Hi Simon,
Congratulations on a great update, and your new growth is excellent for only 9 months! Your hair is looking healthy and full of shine, and your natural colour is awesome. I see that you are concerned about the thickness of your hair, but in fact, I think it is thicker than it was before. This is most evident in your back photo, where your ends are thick and even, as opposed to the much thinner ends when your hair was still damaged.
Try not to worry about the bangs too much this early in your journey. You started from extremely short bangs, and bangs tend to be the slowest to grow anyway for many guys. Since your hair is of a fine texture, it will take a bit longer until they show the thickness of the rest of your hair, but do not worry, that time will come.
Congratulations on your tail! It may be small now, but it is a start, and things can only get better from now on.
Take care, and keep it growing!
David
Thanks so much David! The kind comments are always appreciated:) It's hard to believe it's been 9 months already, onward to a whole year soon:D
I think when i've reached terminal i will cut it to all one length, but for now i'll just let it do it's own thing:D
Take care!
Simon
Tjo simpa!
Hi Simon ...
The hair is looking fine.. It just takes time. Its slow. Its painful.. but as you are well aware of ... will all be worth it someday.. Keep up the good work; the hair looks healthy..
Take Care...
Tristan
Thanks! I agree, somedays are more painful than others, but i'm stickin with it:D
Take care!
Greetings Simon, wow can't believe it's 9 months already for your regrowth...looks much longer since your last update.
Don't worry about your bangs, at this point that will happen. In the upcoming months that will be a distant memory.
Hope you and your family are doing well.
Cheers,
Max
Thanks Max! I almost can't believe it myself that it's already 9 months, soon heading into the 10th:D
Take care and hope you're doing well also!
Simon
Great progress, Simon. And the natural colour is very nice too.
Jeffrey.
Thanks, David:)
jeffrey
Thanks Jeffrey! BTW, that's one kickass avatar, really cool, both hair and leather jacket!
Do you by any chance ride motorcycle or listen to metal?:D
Thanks, Simon.
This is probably too far down for you to read, but, I haven't ridden a bike in many years. I had an accident that really messed my face up. Other than that I am a big classic rock fan. I listen to music all the time, but not the really hard stuff. I like Bob Seger and stuff like that.
Jeffrey.
An accident, ouch that sounds bad, but it seems to have healed nicely since, it sure isn't noticeable anyway. As for the music, that's something i live for, listen to it everyday for many hours, most of it is country and classical rock, and heavy metal of course, and i also sing quite alot:)
looks great dude! keep up the great growth :)
You're on your way to long locks! Keep growin'.
Thanks my fellow scandinavian!:D
Wow, has it really been nine months since you started regrowing your hair? Things are really coming along nicely, Simon. It looks great, the color is fantastic (gotta love keeping it natural), and the one-year mark is in sight. Concrats!
Mouse
Thanks Mouse! Yeah it's quite hard to believe 9 whole months have passed, interesting how it will look with another 9 months of growth:D
Take care!
Simon, Your hair is looking very cool! I would try and fight the urge to cut or trim it!
peace, jonalbear
Looks great Simon! Good progress, I think you should forget the trim as everything will even out eventually. Your hair color looks fantastic, btw.
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Thanks Bruce!
Great update and progress Simon, you are entering the most difficult of stages I guess, but all is looking fine and the length on the side shot really shows.
Keep it growing and best wishes ~ Dave
Thanks Dave! This stage can sure be quite annoying at times, but i'm doing my best, every month it will look better:D
Take care and lookin forward to your progress as well!
Your hair is looking fantastic, Simon. You're just a stone's throw from hitting the one-year mark! I agree with everyone who's already posted, recommending that you DON'T GET THAT TRIM, though. It'll just hold you back from reaching your goal (and you know it's true!). Keep up the awesome progress, my friend!
--Val
Hey Val! Thanks for commenting!:D Maybe you're all right, i can probably hold off on the trim until i've at least passed my one-year mark, by then i will have some more length.
Take care!
Hi Simon
Your hair seems like it's fine so it looks frizzy when dry and as it's winter it's very dry indoors. Is it common for people to have humidifiers in your part of the world during winter? We have a big one and keep the humidity up which helps my hair as well as other things such as dry throat, dry skin, and static from the carpet.
Not sure that would be an answer for your bangs but possibly it could help.
I think your hair looks pretty good so get your trimms if you need to after all the longhair journey is a long one anyway so whats another month or two of growth.
Take Care
Kevin
Thanks Kevin! Not really sure about those humidifiers, but it sure sounds like it could be useful:)
Anyway, i think i'll hold off on the trim for a few months more if it's possible, til the 1-year mark maybe.
Take care!
Hey Simon
Your hair is making excellent progress! I think it looks great. I honestly don't see any signs of damage. I have the same problem with my bangs, they are thinner than the rest of my hair. So thin that they are translucent. The rest of my hair is a whole lot thicker. My bangs are so thin that they practically float around instead of hanging! lol! I have a feeling it could be related to MPB but I don't even want to think about that now! Lol! I don't think you should worry much, Just let that great hair grow and stay away from scissors. Take care Simon and thanks for sharing another great update with us.
Heey Chris! Thanks for commenting:D, it's been whole 9 months of growth now, damn time goes fast, it's crazy, feels like almost yesterday it was the Christmas of 2006, LOL:D
Take care and seeya around!:D
Simon
Awesome, Simon! Cool tail and your hair has thickened even more. I don't see cause for your concern.
Hey man, thanks! I think our hairtypes are quite similar, thin and fine, although mine's more wavey, must've earned that from my mother:)
Looking good simon you should be proud of your progress keep it growing friend
take care
Your hair is looking good, Simon. Don't get a trim, it has a way of evening itself out on it's own. Trimming just impedes the natural progress.
Carol
Thanks Carol! And BTW, that's a cool avatar you have:D
Simon
Hey Simon there may not be as much hair as you want to see but what there is looks to be in great shape. The care you put into it now is obvious so this time around your hair will certainly rock with more inces!
I hope you have a great holiday Simon and a hairy new year!
Thanks Chris! I try to take as good care of my hair as possible, it's in a heck of a lot better shape than when it was dyed:)
Take care and seeya around!
Simon
