Hello all, just here to ask for a little advice. I've always wanted long barbarian hair, but my hair, while completely straight, is so thick and harshly textured that it doesn't seem to fall down. I've tried several times to grow it out, but inevitably cut it when it gets around three to three and a half inches, because it's like a giant straight afro that looks like a poofy mushroom. I take pretty good care of my hair, but I just wanted to know if anybody had any advice/encouragment.
I have the same problem, just yesterday I tried serum again. But instead of putting it on my hair while combing it to the back, I combed it on both sides.
Today it's finally tame and sleeping on both sides of my head :D.
What you are talking about is the awkward stage. Generally your hair will look bad and feel unmanageable. You just need to grow through it, and stay away from scissors! ;D.

... be patient, at 3.5 inches it's going to poof, but at 6 inches, it will look fantastic! Hang in there!!

I would recomend you keep growing it, never giving up and cutting it. I remember I was at the part you were, it sucked so much but then I got passed it, and you will too. Hang in there!
