So i i've realized some time ago that my hair grows real slow now. in the time i've let my hair grow i could honestly say i trimed about 4-5inches. Then again if i wouldn't of probably would of been ugly, dead ends more slipt ends...a disaster.
I really hope it grows out this next year so that i can really see a diffrence that i havent seen in awhile.
comments, thoughts, questions, advice anything welcome
Hi Raul,
Your hair looks great, and it appears to be in good condition. Try not to get too discouraged about slow growth. I have slow growing hair as well, although it has grown better in the past year than the one before it, thanks to a change in my hair care routine. Keep it growing for sure.
Take care,
David
and what exactly is your new routine? what have you done diffrent?

Hi again, Raul,
The biggest change I did was ditching the striaghtening irons 15 months ago. Up to then, I had been straightening almost daily, and did not realize the damage I was causing. (straightening disguises the damage to some point) I was wondering why there had been almost no increase in length from late 2005 util September/October 2006. After I ditched the irons, my hair started to grow better again, and though my growth rate is still a bit less tahn the average 6 inches/year (mine is closer to 5), it is growing.
Also, I stopped using "all in one" shampoo/conditioners, and used separte shampoo and conditioner, and reduced shampooing frequency, since my hair is dry, although I still condition nearly every day. I am alo more gentle with both washing and drying my hair in general.
Hope this helps,
David
I think it looks pretty good for 3 years of growth with trims along the way. If hair grows on the average 1/2 inch per month and if you started with short hair, you should have 19 inches of growth (more or less), minus the 4-5 inches of trim, so maybe 14 inches? That appears to be where you are at.
Well, keep on growin'
Bruce
The hair is looking amazing and great natural waves. I'm glad that you hair care routine works.
Cheers,
