Hey long Hairs! How ya ppl doing? I'm just bored at school with nothin to do and decided to check on the board. I was also wondering how long it takes to get put on the hyperboarf directory. Thanks

Nothing to do? So am I correct to think that you are earning a 100% in every subject? If not, I can think of "something to do".
If you did not get 100% on your last test, then think back and ask yourself... "Did I do EVERYTHING I could have possibly done to prepare for it?"
I sincerely believe that everytime you think you have "nothin to do" at school, there is actually A LOT you could be doing.
Do I sound like a teacher? This is exactly what I tell my students.
If you take responsibility for your learning, you will never be bored.
I wish you well in acheiving your goals at school.
Cut the lad some slack
all he said was he was bored , maybe he did study and he does get good grades. just because hes bored does that make him a slacker , or underachiever. you dont get bored at work sometimes , dont get bored at home , dont get bored in general when you can be doing something else to better yourself. seriously your argument is too serious hes a kid , school is about learning , trying to get good grades , making friends , and having fun .. so yeah sometimes when your on your lunch break , or on a break in general kids do get bored.. you take yourself too seriously no need to harass a about grades.. good luck in school and remember to have fun!! :)

As an academic myself (PhD grad student in biophysics), I can understand this lad's plight. Every student needs a break now and then from academic achievement.
Or, if we are paying attention in school, we know that no machine or process is 100 percent efficient. Machines heat up...and students "need a break". Keep in mind that a robot doing a job must deal with heat just as a kid must deal with stresses of studying.
And frankly internet correspondence is not all that bad of an activity. Social development and language skills...even though this lad's spelling and grammar could use some work...
I really don't have to answer to you. I have all A's and am praised by ALL of my teachers.I take Honors English, Chem, and taking Calculus. I got accepted to Berkely on almost a full scholorship, I am a tudor, and i hold a job. Just remember that i'm 17, a senior in High School, and all i want to do is have fun. So get your head out of your @ss, or better yet keep it there. I know your students woill appreciate that.A simple "Study your Textbook", would have sufficed. This topic=Over
I realize this guy rattled your cage a bit. However, I would ask for you to try to control your temper a bit and refrain from using foul language. Even though the site is open and free, the FAQ and rules state that foul language is not to be used (and that disguising foul language is even worse because of the intent to deceive added). Anyway...just make sure to keep those words under control.

As for the directory, they promise ten days, but often it's faster than that. New guys took it over recently, so if you don't get action soon, maybe you sent it to the old guy? Just apply again if you're concerned your application got lost. The application is so short that this is easier than trying to track the old application down. There's a link on every page of the directory about how to apply.
