G'day guys!
I have been having trouble keeping the side hairs behind my ears in one place. They always keep sticking out... I have tried to use wax to hold them which sort of works.
I was just wondering is it a good idea to cut them off? or let them grow? seems like it will take a long time before they can get in my ponytail!
I have the exact same thing. They will eventually give up and fall down though when the hair gets heavier (longer). :)
Hey mate. I wouldn't advise cutting them, all part of the long hair journey, getting the side bits to fit behind the ears. I'm at 2 1/2 years growth now and i still have to fix my hair every now and then to get them to sit behind, but in the end they blend with the overall composition well, Its just one of those patience things. In the beggining, I used to lightly straighten the side bits so that they'd fit behind the ears better. Not regularly of course, just if i was having a particularly annoying hair day hehe.
I'd say it will roughly take about 2 or so years before you can get em in a tail. My hair is wavy/curly of course, but its taken me till about this month to have every layer fit inside the ponytail without being pulled on too harshly.
It's a persistence thing - keep the shears away for a while :)It'll look great eventually :)
Thanks AJ... I guess you could say I am in 'annoying side hair phase' now instead of 'maintenance phase' lol. Hopefully this phase will be finished by next December then I will be in 'longhair rules phase!' :)
One trick I have been doing is I grab all the relevant side hairs which belong behind my ears and I straighten them out completely and use wax on them. Once all the strands are straight then I can comb them behind my ears which seems to work best so far..
Thanks for the advice... perhaps I should keep the scissors locked up somewhere :)
Everybody has trouble with those side hairs when growing their hair out. To cut them would be a big mistake and put you way back as they would only grow out to this length again in time.
Gravity has not yet had a chance because of the present length, but rest assured that it WILL in time solve this problem very much. However, even those with very long hair one cannot always keep the hair behind the ears all the time.
Best of luck to you in further long hair growth.
Goodness!!!
don't cut them, lol.
let them grow, when they get longer they'll be alot better, and won't defy the laws of gravity, lol.

I dont know about the laws of gravity, but those ears are so dirty? you are discusting!
