Is it ok if your hair grows 14 inches a year? or something like that?
The average rate of hair growth is 1/2-inch per month, or 6 inches per year. Individual mileage may vary ;)

Yeah, that's about it. 6 inches. I remember that my bangs grew 6 inches in 10 months, but 14 inches is insane. That's like 2 years + of growth.

It's okay and probably possible but how did you arrive at your 14 inches?
Hair length is not that easy to measure since it actually stretches to some extent when pulled straight. Very dry hair can be shorter than wet hair.
my hair grows very fast... but I'll be damned if it grows anything close to 14 inches in 1 year... thats like having hair down to your waist in a 2 year update LOL
He is just saying that it would be "OK" if one's hair grew that fast...not that his did...which would be impossible, right?
