It's been a long time since I've posted on here regularly, but I've been reading the posts for the past couple of days, and it's great to see some familiar faces, as well as new ones. Lots going on in my life, not all of it good, but I'm coping. Life itself is good, and that's good enough for me.
What happened to the "hairy man" icon? I was surprised to see that he's gone. I do like the new look, though.

I don't think I have had the chance to say "hi" to you before, you must have been around before I joined 15 months ago, so I would like to say hi to you for the first time, and welcome back! Your hair looks great, and keep growing it for sure.
As for the change in the overall "look" of the main page, it was felt a change was long overdue, to "modernize" things a bit.

I guess you are still working on your studies in the field of plants. I was pulling the weeds from around my agave plant the other day and thought about you. Uncanny that you have now shown back up.

Thanks, guys, for the greetings and kind words. I'm looking forward to hopefully interacting again a whole lot more than I had been for the last year and a half or so.
Quenyan - I'll take your suggestion into consideration to make that photo my new avatar. It's probably is time for a change!
MattB - Wow, you've got a great memory. I remember you as Bragi, a very articulate, intelligent, and kind man. I'm not studying plants anymore these days (not formally, anyway), but I do have lots of irons in the fire, as usual.
Justin, JohnB - Great to see my fellow musician buddies still here.
And, darn it, wouldn't you know, I missed out on the opportunity to invite people to my choral concerts, which just finished up last weekend. I'm a tenor with a professional chamber choir called the San Francisco Choral Artists (on the web at http://www.sfca.org). Keeping up with my music has been a real godsend for me, with all that's been going on. Anyway, we'll have concerts again in March, and I'll try and remember to post an announcement on the board, for anyone who will be in the San Francisco area at that time and might be interested in hearing a highly polished, well respected choral group perform (definitely nothing like "Clash of the Choirs"). :-)

Hey Dino welcome back! Glad you are but sorry to hear that you have been having troubles. I can relate as I have also had quite a time of it during the last year or so. Hopefully things will improve for us both :)

It doesn't seem like you were gone that long but time flies and the hair grows as did yours. Much longer than I remember and looking food also.
The hairy guy logo was due to retire sooner or later although many liked it as did I we gotta keep things interesting.
