hi all.
very refreshing to see all the long haired men. i'm from south africa and long hair is still too rare on the male species! (still very conformist).
even as a woman, there is increasing pressure to cut my hair as i 'age' - and keep the colour subdued. i disagree vehemently. we werent born with scissors in hand. i'm taking a stand and growing it now - as long and dark as i can.
btw: after that bout of verbal trainsmash, i hope women are still welcome here!
(am trying to post a pic of hair length: if it fails - forgive me - computer klutz of note!)
Willkommen Morti,
South Africa, ay?
I've got family in Namibia.
Yup, e'en B4 Angelina Jolie put the place on the map, I heard of it ... LOL!
So, yes, we're "still" happy to have womenfolk in our ranks. But I think ya need to speak to for being better represent'd by a clearer, larger, more distinct "Avatar".
I have a hunch that if you, in particular, click your mouse on MINE, you'll find yourself in a very intriguing little place, replete w/ even MORE links to what I'm about w/ MY long hair.
Once again, Morti, welcome aboard and safe, happy, warm, incandescent wishes in this Yuletide season of dangerous, uncertain, cold, dark times,

i dont have a 'profile. unsure how to create one. yours is certainly interesting... will certainly peep in at the gnostic site.
if i can figure out how to create a profile space, then i will replace the avatar with a bigger one. i simply responded to a comment to begin with - will have to go hunting at the homepage!
thanks for the kind welcome.
Once again, Morti, Hailsa and welcome!
It's gr8 havin' another sister joinin' forces w/ us here! And thanks for havin' a gander at my V.F. prof-y page.
Contact the board of moderators HERE for a more comprehensive "Avatar" and listing for you. They'll be more 'an happ to help out. Heck, there're twenty guys there. Then, IF ya like, they can link IT with the profile page or website of YOUR choice. Email 'em here:
Kindest longhair'd regards,
Quenyan
Also, however, the directory is for people who have posted with us for a bit. It is not "registration", and it is not intended to list people the first day they land here. Registration is not required - we don't even have it. Newcomers are welcome to post right away without jumping through any hoops whatsoever.
This is all spelled out in the site's documentation, but occasionally it makes sense to post about it on the board, as some users might have missed it or forgotten about it, as has happened here. Mostly, though, we try to keep the technical advice on the board to a minimum. That is what the documentation is for.

We encourage users to post a bit more before joining the directory. No need to rush getting into the directory.

Welcome Morti! I agree with you, hair is to be celebrated not subdued! Grow it long!

(btw, if you use a picture resizing utility, aim for about 20k picture size, that would work well)
