Hi guys,
I haven't been too active the last few weeks and I apologize for not commenting more on some incredible updates that have been posted. Everyone is really doing great and it's awesome to see goals being approached and even fully attained.
Next month will mark 4 years for my growth for the hair on top of my head. I kept cutting the back for quite some time to get rid of layers.
I really feel like I'm in new territory. I'm having a hard time getting my brush through the ends because they're so far down my back. It's very exciting to see that my hair continues its growth and fills me with hope that my terminal length is still far away. I hope to reach classic length with still relatively thick ends.
It has snowed 26 inches so far in December here...
Hello Jason !
as usual your updates are incredible.
Your hair is so beatiful, i love the color !
Cya
Thanks Angel!
Hi Jason,
As always, your updates are probbaly the best on the entire hyperboard. Your hair is so thick and full, and seems to be growing faster these days, and with your thick ends, clasic length should be easily attainable for you. As the dawn of 2008 draws near, and the beginning days of my retirement year, my planned road trip of 2009 gets closer as well, and I am looking forward to meeting you at that time.
Take care,
David
Hey David,
You must be so excited to be nearing retirement and all the opportunities that it will open up. I'm very much looking forward to meeting you on your road trip in 2009. Will Massachusetts be one of your first stops? I'm thinking you'll head down the East coast first??
Thanks about my hair. It'll be exciting to see what 2008 brings for both of us in that regard.
Hi Jason,
Yes, Massauchusetts will be one of my first stops, as I drive down the East Coast as far as Georgia, then cut across the southern tier of states to California. It would a real pleasure to meet you on my trip, and you will probably be one of the first people I will have the chance to meet.
Kindest regards,
David
Hi Jason,
I look at your photos and see a longhair for life!
Ed
Hi Ed,
That's about the best compliment you could give me. Thank you!
Jason
It's very exciting to see that my hair continues its growth and fills me with hope that my terminal length is still far away. I hope to reach classic length with still relatively thick ends.
Your hair looks fantastic Jason, and it is certainly far from
terminal length. What kind of hair colour did you apply to it?
Is it henna? I like that burgandy plum colour. Hopefully it is
not damaging to your hair. You have nearly 4 years invested in
that lovely mane and you don't want to damage it at all.
Scott
Hi Scott,
Those are still the residual highlights from the temporary dye I used back in June. They're only apparent in some lights. I don't think it did at long-lasting damage as I only did one application.
Do you remember how many years it was before you reached classic length? Your length is a constant inspiration.
Jason
It is hard to remember, but maybe 6 years. I could have
grown my hair faster if I had known how to properly care
for it. When I found MLHH it was within 4 inches of its
currenty length. I am reasonably sure that the last 4
inches of length gain is from folding and tying it up
with a small spring clip when bike riding. Prior to
doing that I would frequently sit on my hair which
caused damage to the ends of it.
Scott
By far one of the best heads of hair on the board, Jason. The photos look wonderful. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and stay well. =)
-James
Thanks for the kind words James. I've very much enjoyed following your impressive growth and how well you chronicle it. I look forward to seeing what 2008 will bring for both of us.
Damn, dude...
Every time you post an update, I feel a near overwhelming desire to trim my hair.
LOL, at first I wasn't sure how to take your comment. I assume you're referring to my more or less blunt ends and that you haven't trimmed your ends in a long time?
I'll be getting a trim myself next month as my ends really need it.
Yup. Mine's a mess at the tips.
Greetings Jason, very fine update, your hair as always looks terrific. Looks like you will have growth for years to come based on the looks of it. In your case, how long did it take to get rid of all layers in your hair, if you can estimate. I like that all around one length look.
Salud, and happy holidays if you celebrate.
Max
Hey Max,
Thank you!
I kept cutting lots off the back for the first year and then just smaller amounts until now I've achieved all one length. Now I can just brush my hair back and trim the ends and keep everything that way.
hey Jason,
This is a beautiful set of photos. You look great!
Hope you are enjoying the season.
cheers, pete
Hey Pete,
Thanks for the kind words.
Jason
the hair looks great, i hope you grow it longer
Thank you. I shall.
My favorite picture is the braid. It shows off your highlights so well!

Four years ! already?! gosh...
As always you hair is phenomenal and an inspiration to the rest of us.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy a Colorado Christmas !
Walter
Hi Jason,
Your hair is so thick and healthy I think terminal is far far away
and the classic length will look good on you. No doubt you'll
have most of the thickness st the ends when you get there as well.
Take Care
Kevin
That is truely magnificent gorgeous hair Jason and every time you show us an update it continues to get better and better. And your photographs are always so unique.
I great source of inspiration no question. Hey, even I'm jealous! :-)
All the best-
