Hey everyone,
I've been growing my hair for many years now, and it's about mid-back length. One thing that's been bothering me though, is how poofy my hair is. I have a lot of hair, and when I tuck the sideburns behind my ear, the rest of the hair poofs out. Because of this I usually wear a pony tail. I was considering cutting these strands off, because it would let the rest of my hair sit comfortably behind my ear, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. Also, since this hair is tucked behind my ear all the time, there is a gap between where the hair ends and my facial hair begins, and it looks kind of unkempt.
What do you all do about these side hairs? Should I cut them or leave them the same length as the rest of my hair?
I say leave them.

I always wind up messing up my bangs when I try to shave my own sideburns.
Since your thread header specifically addresses sideburns, I'm going to assume that's what you're referring to. Otherwise, your post is a little confusing.
Personally, I've never cared for sideburns. The only time I've ever made an exception was when I grew my beard. Now that I wear a Van Dyke, I get rid of the sideburns when I shave.
Just a tip, colons are not required infront of your own text, it makes it a tad confusing as to exactly where the original post ends and your response begins...
Please post a decent picture than I can discuss...thanks...
