Here is a link to a letter written to my local paper that is in today edition. It amazes me that as we go into 2008 that someone is so against long hair on NFL players (and I think I could safely guess any man) that they would write a letter to the editor. (I had to check the calender to make sure I didn't wake up in the 60's)
Upset over long hair on NFL players
It amazes me as well. In fact it has ALWAYS amazed me that people seem to have problems with long hair to begin with as that is what we are suppose to have anyways.
Who said that with the amount of years that passes, things will get for the better? Prejudiced people stay prejudiced, and very little can change that. You can't reason with them because if they were able to reason in the first place, then they wouldn't be prejudiced.
"He who does not reason is a bigot,
He who cannot, is a fool,
and he who dares not, is a slave"
That's my motto, and you can put most people into at least one of those categories.
I would say he must not be much of a real football fan if long hair is the thing stopping him from watching. If he had really been watching football for 40 years, he wouldnt just up and change games because of hairstyles.
I'd bet my life he has MPB. The jealously of males with this affliction is insane. I admit it must totally suck but don't come down on the rest of us without it!
And while this guy is missing football this season i'm
thoroughly enjoying our local team who is going
undefeated, 15-0 and will wind up the season
19-0.
And some of them do have long hair. But then i've had
long hair since the Packers won the first super bowl
and the Pats won three super bowls.
