Sometimes I see the likes of famous women with their really awesome long hair, and I'm so jealous. Even before my hair was nearly hacked all off by the hair dresser recently, my hair never looked as good as theirs.
Anyway, hI've included a pic of my hair before it was practically all hacked off my that stupid hair dresser.
I want it to look like this though. I know it's a girl hair cut, but that's how I really want it.
Does any one else feel the same even though they're guys?

yeah i kind of feel the saem.. like how do they get it like that
it looks so healthy ..
and all that i wonder how they do it =/
Well this is what it takes to get hair to look like that:
Blow it out with a blow dryer diffuser and a round brush.
Then straighten it with a straightening iron.
Then curl with a large curling iron.
Make sure to spritz each curl.
Don't forget to add a small amount of anti-frizz serum.
Depending on how long your hair is this should only take you about 45 minutes (mid-back length). And of course dries your hair out like crazy, but it's a great look.
Anytime you straighten your hair it looks great but the damage is a huge price to pay. Get your hair trimmed regularly to remove burnt dead ends and give a smoother look.
Personally, I like the natural look especially on men. The more processes you put in your hair the more you have to use products to keep it looking good. It's a vicious cycle.
If you have this style as a guy, then it's not a girl's style, because your'e a guy, and you have that hair style. That's a little circular, but obvious.
All she has had done is layered bangs and some light layering in the back with highlights put in. It also looks like she used a volumizer and blowdried it to style it. You can tell her natural color would be darker by the eyebrow color. Looks very nice still.
I can't call her name right now, but she's very pretty; I've seen her before in something.
I always admire nice, beautiful hair. It just happens that most of the time it's on females since they tend to take much better care of it than most men. And I've always desired many of the nice, longer styles worn by many women too. I have taken picture of women to my stylist to show her exactly what I wanted. She appreciates the pictures because it helps her understand what I want.
I sounds like you had a misunderstanding with a stylist. You need to find a trusted stylist. Ask around for recommendations from women you know. Take the picture and tell her that's the style you want to eventually have. Most stylists will help you achieve whatever style you wish.
Nice hair is nice hair, no matter if it is on a woman or a man.
the pics you see of girls (in this case, actresses, models) with great looking hair, all have stylists who do their hair for the photo shoots.
'They' don't do anything to it. LOL
Sorry to burst your bubble :/
Also, they put so much crap into their hair that they probably wear wigs for most of their roles.
If I'm not mistaken, that is Hillary Duff, but regardless, I do understand what you are saying. I think it's simply a matter of perception. As has been said before, men on average don't take as much care of their hair as women. Also, if we want to look at the physical hair, there likely is no difference, we all have human hair, although it does seem that men have fewer hairs (in sheer number) on their heads, and even if we dn't have fewer hairs, we have bigger heads, which basically has the same effect.
Also, when you're talking about models, actresses, singers, etc we have to realize, as someone already said, they have stylists, the average woman doesn't look nearly as good as photos in a magazine (a fact they are keenly aware of) and also, particularly in the world of hair, celebrities also have that one magic tool that makes their hair look so beautifully thick, extensions! I've always heard that any celeb you see, much of the hair beyond her shoulders is likly not her own, but it looks beautiful none the less. Personally, I've always admired Celine Dion's really long thick brown hair... but I realize much of it just isn't her's.
And yet, as many of the guys on this board seem to attest that with proper care, long hair, on both men and women, can look pretty darn good. None of us are going to have the hair of models, because the truth is not even the models have that hair, at least not growing out of their own heads.
Austin
What you wrote is partially true in many cases. But there are many models with hair longer than shoulder length that are photographed with only their own hair. A professional sytlist can do wonders with almost anyone's hair.
Not all models use fake hair.
And yes...some of us can have hair just like the models.
Not really, for one, I'm not a huge fan of over processed and over styled hair, for two, to me, it is all short-ish, and third, I have and see better hair in the real world all the time.
You have to find your own way...it looks like your hair is finer and wavier, so getting a look like that would require a lot of work (as I'm sure it did on her). Also, you have to live with all day real world hair, not 15 minute photoshoot hair.
Mike, I know exactly how you feel.
I too sometimes see women with hair that is absolutely beautiful. There is currently a commercial on TV with a young lady with long straight waist length hair that is thick and moves freely with her. I would love for my hair to look like that.
As one of the posters said, it's not a girl's hairstyle if not on a girl. I admire hair on both sexes if it is taken care of and looks good. Nothing wrong with wanting hair like that.
Now if you wanted to wear the leather miniskirt even more, then there might be a problem . . . . . . .
Hey look she has some frizzies too you know..
