Which desert do you live in, the Mojave desert by any chance?

I am on the Nevada/California border (Nevada side) ~130 mile NW of Las Vegas, just next to Death Valley. I fell in love with the desert when I first saw it in 1957 and have lived here now for over 37 years and am fortunate to have a nice little hobby ranch.
Hi Walter
That desert Christmas Tree looks so cool with what looks like a warm delightful evening. When the weather gets really cold out east how I wish I could be there!LOL.Certainly I'm more the warm weather type. Also thanks for your comments on my "The Tree" post below as it does get you in the Christmas mood when you visit Rockafeller Center. As for Opal she is doing great as she just past her one year anniversary since I brought her home in Dec.'06.Here she is as she loves being on the computer.Literally!LOL.Take care my friend and Merry Christmas.

Errrr...well...nighttime temperatures this week are in the low 20's (Fahrenheit, afternoons are in the 40's. I love this weather after the long hot summer.
Ooops... guess it looked warmer in the pic but your temps are like out east right now.Oh well maybe further south would be warmer.LOL.
Beautiful sunset Walter.(or maybe sunrise?) Merry Christmas!
Bruce
For some reason it reminds me of that commercial with the one palm tree that lights up.
Nice pic.
And a Merry and Blessed Christmas to you also.
