Hello all!
Well, I spent today starting out training for my pilot's license. It was cold, and a bit windy, but overall not too bad. Thought I'd share a couple photos and link the video of my instructor and me, taxiing out to the runway. =D
Doing the routine pre-flight check...
My instructor and me, just before heading out...
And VIDEO of us heading to the runway...

It was tons of fun, and I'll be going out again on Wednesday afternoon. =D
Until then, have a safe and happy New Year!

I recall that you are about 6ft. 6in....were you able to fit in the plane OK?
Dude you are incredibly tall. At least 6'9" now, and still growing? You tower above the top of the wing, and it is a high wing plane. It seems improbable that you can fit in that plane. You must have had to scruntch to fit inside. Anyway good luck on your flying lessons.

Sweet! That's so cool, James! Glad the turbulance didn't get to you. How long will it take to get your license?

Wow James that's cool, I would love to learn to fly but
time and money are not on my side. Although I always say
if you want something bad enough you'll find the time and the
money somehow. Good luck on your lessons.

Hi James,
As always, great photos and video! That is SUPER cool that you are learning to fly, so of course, I will be wishing you all the best in your flying program. I had a former co-worker (now retired) who learned to fly and the airplane he used was something like the one you have shown in your photo.
Also, Happy New Year to you!
David
Awesome!
I myself plan to fly paragliders. Closer to nature and without any engines :) I think the record flight was over 420km, without any stops (and without an engine).
Eitherway, flying, no matter how you do it, rocks!
So good luck and happy new year :)
that's great--I hope you enjoy it. I'd love to do that but I get nervous in big airplanes--I'd freak out in a small one.
Looks like you are ready for a fun experience. Fly safe!
Carol
Well Done;
You are in for a wonderful adventure....I have been flying since I was 14 ! Still have a Cessna that I pedal around the desert skies.
Happy Landings !
